Arc'teryx Phase SV Crew - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 2, 2011

i bought a stack of these for cold days this winter. great wicking and cozy. only problem is they do get whiffy, so if you don't have access to laundry facilities you might not be the most popular person around.

Totally Terrific

Norrøna Roldal Warm 3 Fleece Jacket - Women's

Norrøna Roldal Warm 3 Fleece Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 December 16, 2010

I was expecting a nice mid-layer, maybe a knock around piece, but what I got was probably the best fleece I've ever purchased. Along with the Noronna ski pants I bought, I couldn't be happier. This piece is really warm and wicks better than anything I've ever own. And it has a terrific fit and looks good. Triple bonus points. Couldn't be happier.

Norrøna Roldal Gore-Tex Performance Shell Insulated Pant - Women's

Norrøna Roldal Gore-Tex Performance Shell Insulated Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 December 16, 2010

Wow. Great Fit, Great Style, Great Function. I test drove them today with a light polar fleece underneath, temp 15F. I was toasty, comfortable, and for once stylish. Terrific fit, intelligent zipper design. And TOTALLY WATERPROOF, b/c yes, it was snowing hard. Wish I had two pairs but you're out of my size -M. Runs pretty true to size; I buy a bit big b/c I like to layer when it gets really, really cold.

Norrøna Røldal Gore-Tex Performance Shell Insulated Jacket - Women's

Norrøna Røldal Gore-Tex Performance Shell Insulated Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 December 16, 2010

I second kikiwv. My Arcteryx stuff is getting worn after 4 years and 400 days of skiing, and I was excited to get new gear. The Norrona ski pants and polar fleece I ordered are great, but this jacket, however well made, is a fit nightmare. Too long, fiddly zipper, wacky hood, funny neck fit, huge around the middle, and the cuff is peculiar. All in all, it seemed like it actually might fit a guy better. However, I'm really stoked by the quality of Norrona products, and only wish I could have ordered the insulated performance shell jacket that I wanted in the first place -- out of my size. Xmas returns anyone?

Line Prophet 90 Ski

Line Prophet 90 Ski

Rating for this product: 5 December 15, 2009

wow! these are awesome skis! reading the specs they may seem too heavy or too stiff but they're not! you've got about 200g over the celebrity in 158, and that equals a big bowl of pasta. not much really.(i'm 5'5" and about 125). these skis totally rip steeps, bumps, trees, powder, leftovers, crude, hard pack. does it all. the turns are effortless. the skis are nimble, and go exactly where you point them. i slightly overturned them at first before i realized just how precise they are. i'm burning way less calories turning these sticks, so whatever extra weight i'm going to skin with or tote, i'm totally ready for the trade off. tell santa to put these under the tree!

Arc'teryx Delta LT Zip Pullover - Women's

Arc'teryx Delta LT Zip Pullover - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 19, 2007

This garment exceeded expectations. Originally, I bought one as heavier underlayer to use instead of my North Face poly. After wearing it, I had to go back and get another one b/c it was so great. I use it as a heavier base layer but also as a lighter second layer. The fit is fantastic and my North Face polys are collecting dust now. It breaths, wicks, and does all the tricks. Only down side is it does get that poly smell more than some items, but despite what other reviewers suggest, all the wool bases make me itch and sweat. So Delta, you rock!

The Best Ever!

Arc'teryx Stingray Jacket - Ski Jacket - Women's

Arc'teryx Stingray Jacket - Ski Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 21, 2007

This winter, I've turned into a real Arc'teryx fan. This is the best ski jacket I've ever owned. It has amazing construction: the perfectly taped seams keep the wind and snow out, and yet the garment breathes. It's comfortable, practical, resists dirt, and it's also stylish! For the first time I've found a jacket that combines practicality with style. In combination with my other Arc'teryx under garmetns, I'm ready for any winter weather, hot or cold, inbounds or backcountry. A total winner!!

Arc'teryx Stiletto Jacket - Women's

Arc'teryx Stiletto Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 21, 2007

This works even better than I had thought it would. Unique fabric and weave. Very warm, yet breathable on those days when I overdress. If it had been available in medium, I probably would have gone for it instead of the small, but in a way the tighter fit might just work better. I can still fit my Arc'teryx Delta underneath it on cold days. Also like the side zipper, which keeps my chin cozy.

Not impressed

66 North Iceland Tindur Technical Jacket - Women's

66 North Iceland Tindur Technical Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 February 21, 2007

While it looks good, this item is not nearly as warm as the company suggests it is. In fact, I don't find that it does a very good job of insulating at all. I've ended up relegating it to the warmer days that I'm just running errands around town. For serious activity, I turn to my Arc'teryx gear. While it may be a bit more expensive, it is more than worth it.
