I have the '09 version in the same dark grey/orange. Like you I love it, one of my favorites! Anyways, just got the 2011 version in the vintage color. While I wasn't sold on the color at first (was thinking it was more grey then purple) the fit is pretty much dead on to the previous version. I have ended up warming up to the color, so I'm keeping this bad boy. Hope that helps

Has anyone else bought this in Vintage/Excalibur? I was expecting more of a grey, and this thing is definitely looking purple. I love my old Breaker fleece (I have the black/orange version) but not sure I'm loving the purple. I hate to send this back!

My New Favorite

Stoic Breaker Fleece Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt - Men's

So, got this "Sweatshirt" because I am rather warm blooded so I hate wearing winter jackets that sweat me out. That being said, every fleece that I have owned just lets wind whip through it. I picked this up a few months ago, and have warn it nearly everyday. It is a bit tight in the arms, so don't expect to wear multiple layers, but it sure does keep you warm. Was out in 20- temps, in just a t-shirt and stayed perfectly warm. Bottom line a great windproof fleece, extremely warm and breathable, and I'm sure it would work well under a shell as well. Keeping my eye open, on SAC to pick up a second one.

I got a large, fits a little odd though. So I have ended up wearing it more like a beanie with a brim, backwards and over the ears. As a normal ball cap it just doesn't work, but love wearing it the way I do!

So, been looking for shirts to wear for both running and backpacking. I'm tired of having to wash 5+ shirts a week because after one run they smell so bad that it's hard to wear them a second day. My UA shirts have a max of two runs in them before they can stand up and walk to the hamper on their own stick alone. So, I bought one of these bad boys, and put it to the test. Went on a 3 mile hike, sunny, 55-60, followed by several hours of yard work. Next day, 5 mile run, and 1 hour at the gym. So today, grabbed the Elite Superfine GT, expecting quite a funk, and nothing! Absolutely no smell! Another 5 mile run today, and still stink free! Just ordered 4 more icebreaker shirts! Well worth the money. Can't wait to take them on my next backpacking trip.

Just bought a couple, an the tags hard to read, but looks like it says 10% Merino Wool, 90% Polyester. The shirts not itchy at all, but not nearly as comfortable as Icebreaker products that I own. But, for the price, can't beat.
