Marker Duke Ski Binding

Marker Duke Ski Binding

Rating for this product: 5 January 29, 2009

After three seasons of pre-releasing out of the fritschi freerides I was willing to deal with the extra weight of the Dukes. I mounted them on some K2 seths and use them both at the resort and in the backcountry. They ski very close to a traditional binding and tour pretty well too. Overall, a very solid "slack-country" set-up for a skier who demands a high din binding.

Love these skis!

These skis allow me to ski the way I have always wanted to. They float in the fluff and charge through everything else (as long as it's soft). The super fat waist makes stomping airs automatic and the reverse sidecut allows you to scrub speed on a dime. I absolutely suggest these skis to anyone who gets tons of powder days, or the money for a full quiver. Only downside is how sketchy they are on hardpack. They are manageable but it's certainly not pretty.

Best Boot Ever

Dalbello Sports Krypton Pro I.D. Ski Boot

Dalbello Sports Krypton Pro I.D. Ski Boot

Rating for this product: 5 December 29, 2008

This is the most comfortable high performance boot I have ever owned. I dig the three buckle set up and the intuition liners are warm and comfy. In pow the 3 piece set up is great, but they lack the frontal stiffness that traditional race boots have. They feel a bit soft and clumsy if you really rail them on a groomer, but laterally they are great. Throw some Booster straps on them and you have one sweet set up for pow skiing and touring

these pants are pretty sweet. i've been wearing them in the wasatch all winter and could not be more pleased. the gore-tex keeps you dry no matter what, and breathes reasonably well. fit is mildly baggy, but super functional if you like roomy pants. the features are very well thought out, great venting, plenty of pockets, and RECCO is always nice. only mild complaint is the catching of the zippers on the mesh. i totally recomend these pants as a resort and cold weather backcountry pant.

Kelty Chuckwagon Dog Pack

Kelty Chuckwagon Dog Pack

Rating for this product: 4 December 5, 2007

Overall, this is a pretty sweet pack. Great design, materials, and it straps up with ease. Only gripe is the sizing. I have an in-between size dog(45lbs), and bought the medium. I should have gotten the small instead because I think it would have fit better. Worked great to haul gear and hoist her up 20 feet of the ground. I totally recommend this pack.
