SmartWool Lightweight Boxer - Men's

SmartWool Lightweight Boxer - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 August 18, 2009

I bought one pair of the light weight boxers and two pairs of the micro weight boxer briefs four months ago before a trip to South America. Both styles are perfect. Neither have any irritating seems. I typically wear a 31" waist jean or dress slacks. The medium size in both style briefs was perfect. I like the boxer briefs best in that they fit close to the skin but not tight where they ride up in the legs and eventually give you a wedgie like other brands I've bought. The boxer model is also great--just fits looser and perfect when you feel like swinging a little more free that day. These boxers, however, are not so loose (like others I've bought) that you don't feel like you have any underwear on. My suggestion is to buy both styles. Also, the wool is perfect--not hot, always feels fresh and no smell like capeline. I'm a big fan of smartwool and patagonia's wool products. I hand washed and line dried while in South America with no problems. TK

I bought this hat for my wife. She likes the fit, quality and color. It has the micro fiber inside around the ear and brow area. She recommends this hat.

Patagonia Wool 4 Bottoms - Men's

Patagonia Wool 4 Bottoms - Men's

I also bought the Arc'teryx ARC0372 boot cut base layer pants. I wore the Patagonia pants under the exact same conditions -- skiing in Colorado. I preferred the Arc'teryx pants because they were closer fitting and shorter length. I believe the pants were fairly equal in warmth under just my uninsulated Gore-tex XCR shell bibs. I will buy another pair.

Arc'teryx Theta SK Pant - Men's

Arc'teryx Theta SK Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 4, 2007

Although I had buyer's remorse after ordering these bibs. My wife and I have both been wearing Arc'teryx coats for a number of years with absolutely no regrets. After I received these bibs, I was impressed with the fit and quality. After wearing them for three straight days skiing in CO, I would recommend them to anyone who likes the flexibility of tailoring their base layer to the conditions and covering it all up with a top-notch minimalist styled shell. These bibs are expensive, but worth it in the long run as you won't go looking for another style in a year or two.
