Therm-a-Rest BaseCamp Sleeping Pad

I have a 3/4 length lightweight backpacking Thermarest, but wanted something of same quality for my wife. This pad out did my pad. It was twice as thick, which equals more comfort. It was a bit bigger and might be harder to strap to the pack, but very doable. If you are thinking of getting rid of your eggshell mattress and actually sleeping on your camping trip--upgrade to this! Do it!

Thule Hull-a-Port Kayak Carrier

I have a 12 foot old town Dirigo that I was using for this rack mount. I was using the foam mounts before, but needed room for my atlantis 18 and my kayak. This worked perfectly! I had room to open up the box lid and didn't notice much wind drag. I actually noticed less wind drag, than carrying the kayak horizontal on the foam mounts. The mount took about 15 minutes to mount on my crossbars and about 10 minutes to mount the kayak.
