Castelli Free Aero Race Bib Shorts

If you ride a lot, you know how important bibs are, and more important is the quality of the chamois. For me, these bibs are the best I've ridden overall. The quality is good in every aspect, including material, the bib itself, and the chamois. They are a bit expensive compared to others, but for me worth it.

On all-important sizing, I'm 5'10" and 156 lbs. and the large fit me just right. The thighs fit very tight, which is due to the compression fit of the fabric. I also have the Castelli Velocissimo bibs which are more mid-range and those do not have compression, in case that matters to you.

The second ride I did in my Free Aero bibs was in the 110 mile NY GranFondo and they were really great; comfortable, and best part is I didnt think about them at all. I also like the restraint in not using too many colors and designs, as I'm a fan of the more classic black shorts with just the right amount of logo placement.

You can read about all the additional features in the RC description, but I rate these very high.

Price discrimination?

Craft COOL Mesh Superlight Sleeveless Base Layer - 2012

Is it really fair trade when Real Cyclist charges more for the common sizes, and less for others? I notice this practice also on jerseys, bibs, etc. Does this represent discrimination in retailing? Why make people pay more for the same item, because of size?

Any comments, anyone? I like RealCyclist and order frequently, but this represents a negative brand experience and causes me to look elsewhere, and I'd prefer to think I can always get the best selection and prices from RC.

Zero RH + Stretch Control Jersey - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Nice tight fitting euro race cut jersey. The fabric is thin and stretchy and helps the fit also. The cut on the front bottom is shorter and more square than normal so there's no bunching up of extra fabric in front when your in the riding position. Nice graphics and it looks good over your bibs. Seems to be well made, and no problems after several rides with it.

As far as sizing goes, I'm 5' 10" and 158 lbs, and got the XL which is perfect for me. So definitely size up!

I have this jersey and I love the european race fit. I'm 5' 10" and 158 lbs and I had to get XL for a perfect fit. which is to say size up at least one.
