Good-looking and good wearing jacket

Castelli Trasparente Long Sleeve Women's Jersey

Castelli Trasparente Long Sleeve Women's Jersey

Rating for this product: 5 January 3, 2012

This is in between a L/S jersey and light jacket. I wear this with only a sports bra underneath in 55-65 degree weather and it works great. It is not scratchy at all, so no base layer needed if weather is cool. Lower temps, I would wear one. It is long in back and, thank you,.... longer in the front as well! Also, nice long arms. It is white in front and black in the back. I have good movement all over, but I did order up a size, should I need to layer more and it is not cold enough for my winter jacket (Castelli Inspirazione jacket... amazing, by the way). Good for some wind protection, but not great. I have had to unzip on climbs. I am 5'-8" weigh 135 (140 in winter), got a Large, and glad I did. Plenty of room but not oversized in the mid-section for me at all. Overall - a great jersey for cool weather.

The BEST winter bib tight out there!

Giordana Forma Super Roubaix Bib Tight w/Alta Gel Pad - Women's

Giordana Forma Super Roubaix Bib Tight w/Alta Gel Pad - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 3, 2012

Already a huge fan of Giordana's bib tights and shorts, these really impressed me with the level of warmth they provide. I am 5'-8" weigh 135 and ordered Med. (perfect fit) Even if I were up to 5'10" they would prob. work. I have ridden in 30 degrees with a heavily misty San Francisco fog and not once did I think about being cold, nor did I get wet. I could easily see these keeping me warm at much lower temps. I did not sweat. They have a soft, fuzzy inner fabric that is very comfortable. The chamois is classic high-end Giordana - minimal, perfectly placed, comfortable and always does it's job. Like the majority of bib tights out there, you got to strip down to pee... but really not an issue as it rarely happens while riding. I thought the strap down the center of chest might be an issue but it is not noticeable whatsoever and is comfortable (just not very sexy looking). They look great, very comfy, and very warm. 50 degrees and up... just use some capris.

Super cool in a warm way

Castelli Ispirazione Women's Jacket

Castelli Ispirazione Women's Jacket

Rating for this product: 5 December 6, 2011

When I put this on, I felt like hitting the slopes. This is a very comfortable, warm and breathable jacket. The rear pocket has lots of room with an extra little flap over the long zipper - this has two zipper handles so you can open it with either hand. But you really don't need to zipper it as the flap will keep it all in. The jacket is fleece on the inside which helps with warmth of course, but also makes the seam stitching a little less noticeable. I noticed this because I usually buy gear with that "flat lock stitching" but I also didn't have a base layer on too. Not an issue cause I ride with one. The reflective seams are nice - in silver. The silver Castelli logo adds visiblitly from the back without being too blingy. On the inside, the high neck collar is the only part that is not fleece, it's the windstopper material. Good length and excellent movement in the jacket. I am 5'8" 135 pounds and ordered a size large. Even if I gain 10 pounds this winter, I will not feel restricted in this jacket. But I won't because now there is no excuse not to ride.

Great jacket-big in waist

Craft Performance Stretch Jacket - Women's

Craft Performance Stretch Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 December 6, 2011

I purchased a few jackets and kept two. This was not one of them only because it was not fitted in the waist. This was very comfy, gave good movement, good length, had a clean look, and would have kept me warm. I am just a person who likes fitted gear and it had somewhat of a boxy look to the waist - otherwise I would have given 5 stars on this.

The whole package, but size does matter

Louis Garneau Gel Race Cycling Glove - Women's

Louis Garneau Gel Race Cycling Glove - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 December 6, 2011

I do wish this glove was available in a large. Sizing is small like the other reviewers mentioned, and I have to return them. They are definitely ones I would have liked to keep. Warm, comfortable, well-made, and looks good. Oh well.

HUGE fan of these bib shorts

Giordana FormaRed Carbon Women's Bib Shorts

Giordana FormaRed Carbon Women's Bib Shorts

Rating for this product: 5 November 2, 2011

These FR-C bib shorts are perfect in every way. I only wear bibs now as these have convinced me to change over. I have bought my second pair of these as I ride a lot, and now I am thinking to buy their full length bib tights. I don't feel them on me, the seams are truly seamless feeling, and I don't feel the shoulder straps. The chamois is small, but placed perfectly. I love it... no big diaper butt, no sausage leg, and so long as I use my chamois cream, I don't think about my crotch on century rides as I have with other shorts. The waist rise is perfect and it does not pinch me off at the gut to create any nasty ride bloat / gas issues. No riding up or shifting of material in any way. Put them on, they stay put, and you don't think about them. I am a huge fan of these bib shorts, and only wish Giordana would just make their jerseys slightly longer in the front. Until they do, I go with Capo or whatever, for the jersey. I am 5' 7-1/2" and weigh 130-135 and I wear a Medium size. If ANY taller, I would recommend the Large size.
