you can wash the silicone pieces with soap and water, but I wouldn't suggest washing the actual headphones (i guess you could polish them or something...)

Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket Bud Headphones

Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket Bud Headphones

Rating for this product: 5 March 23, 2010

got these because i love skullcandy's earbuds, but they all kept breaking. this thing is legit fully covered in metal, its not breaking anytime soon. These ARE NOT the same quality as Bose earbuds, but nobody ever said that they were supposed to blow your mind. These thinks kill bass. I am sitting here listening to dub step on these boys right now, and the bass sounds better than any other pair of headphones i have (including Sennheiser monitoring phones).

get these on sale or on whiskeymilitia!!!!!!!!!

Oakley Ambush Goggle

Oakley Ambush Goggle

Rating for this product: 2 January 5, 2010

While these goggles are a great way to get a giant O on the side of your head without breaking bank, I suggest you throw down the extra bills and get one of Oakley's higher-end offerings. If those are just too much money, look at either the O-frame or another brand, like Spy's Targa II. Some high-end features are emulated on this goggle: silicone on straps, strap outriggers, and 3-layer foam. The lens is not spherical, which restricts peripheral vision and encourages fogging. These goggles are basically the Crowbar without the spherical lens. The Ambush is a nice goggle by itself, but its pricepoint is too close to its higher-end siblings to justify it.

great for smaller faces

Oakley A-Frame Goggle

Oakley A-Frame Goggle

Rating for this product: 4 January 5, 2010

the A-frame used to be the pinnacle of snowsport optics, but is now on a level below the Crowbar and Splice. Still, for those with smaller faces, the A-frame represents a great option. They have the same HDO spherical lens technology as all other high-end Oakley goggles, but in a smaller package. Even in comparison to the high-end offerings of other brands, these are small. The frame also lasts FOREVER, as will any non-iridium lenses. a good buy if you have a small face, otherwise jump on the crowbar or the splice.

mad quality

Oakley Crowbar Goggle Replacement Lens

Oakley Crowbar Goggle Replacement Lens

Rating for this product: 5 January 2, 2010

the lens of the crowbar is functionally the best part of the goggle. everything looks incredibly clear because of the HDO optics, and they snap in and out with ease for lens-switching. I personally use the fire iridium and HI yellow for bright and cloudy days respectively. I used to have a black iridium lens too that was great for bright days. I recommend the crowbar and all its lenses 100%.

another sick lens that dogfunk does not carry (or is out of stock) is the ruby clear lens. It looks like a regular clear lens from the inside, but has a red mirror on the outside. Sweet!

AWESOME

Oakley Crowbar Exclusive Goggle

Oakley Crowbar Exclusive Goggle

Rating for this product: 5 December 22, 2009

first of all, the crowbar has been the standard of goggle excellence since it came out a few years back. the fact that Oakley is starting to slap its retro logo on them again is pretty cool, but what makes it awesome is that they are pairing the retro logo with sick color schemes. i got the matte red/fire iridium and it is EYE CATCHING. it doesnt look just like all the other crowbars on the mountain.

if you dont know crowbars already, they are meant for big faces, and are INCREDIBLY light. they look like they would be heavy but they are not at all. the lens provides awesome coverage and vision range, and the airflow is superb. different lens options excel in different conditions: i use fire iridium for bright days, and H.I. persimmon for night/cloudy days (Fire or Black iridium are both all great all-around lenses). probably the coolest part about the crowbars is the interchangeability - you can swap out the lenses, straps, and outriggers to customize your setup. i highly recommend these goggles.

This hoodie is awesome. The whole torso area is lined with polyester, while the arms are just regular hoodie cotton material. It keeps you nice and warm without overdoing it. The rasta stripe pattern is cool because rasta colors are great, but most clothes really overdo it. this hoody is nice and subtle. one gripe is that the hood is a little small, but whatever.

Vans Classic Slip-On Core Classic Shoe

Vans Classic Slip-On Core Classic Shoe

Rating for this product: 5 December 7, 2009

I've had my slip-ons for four years now, and they have LONG outlasted all my other shoes, skate or not. They even outlasted a pair of Dunk SBs that I never skated in. They are awesome for wearing anywhere, at any time. Every other skate brand out there has tried to imitate the classic slip-on, but this is really the most solid option out there. The best part: they look better as they get dirty and used. No matter what your style is, there is a pair of slip ons for you. I've even seen Slayer ones. And if they dont make something you like, you can design your own on the vans site for a premium. Dogfunk is really the cheapest you are going to find these other than ebay. sweet!!!

Nike Zoom Cush Skate Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 December 6, 2009

These are pretty standard 6.0 - the shoe is super lightweight but the materials feel lacking. I got the black/grey/light blue pair and stuck some light blue laces on and it actually looked pretty legit. the biggest problems are the lack of cushioning and the super thin insole. it really provides no support whatsoever. I still keep going back to my SB dunks though... the cushioning in those is SO much better.

Ride Attica Vented Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 6, 2009

Got these last year to replace a real old pair of snowpants. I couldnt be happier!! I have never felt a drop of water make it through the pants, and they are pretty warm to boot. My one gripe is that they do run pretty baggy, but they allow for a lot of free movement. The pockets on the sides are very useful for tools and stuff, and it has a really well-placed pass holder that I use all the time. Highly recommended if you are into the whole loose pants thing.

Rating for this product: 5 December 6, 2009

I tried these on at an O store in the mall and was amazed. These things are SO LIGHT!!! also there is NO pressure on your nose while wearing these. I have been rocking the Crowbar for a couple seasons, and these are totally superior. The only problem is that they are a little weird looking, so I might hold off until next year to grab a pair. If you are in need of new goggles this season, get these. They are big though, so stay away if you have a small face.

very good watch

Nixon Cannon Watch - Men's

Nixon Cannon Watch - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 6, 2009

This watch is not about the bells and whistles. It tells you what time it is, and thats all. The watch head is a good medium size, not so big that it restricts your wrist. The watch head also is very circular and sticks out quite a bit (possibly why they called the "cannon"? it looks just like one). you can feel the weight of the watch on your wrist, but in a way that you know it is well put together. A very good casual watch, I have had great experiences with it while snowboarding, at work, and around the dorm. Its a great low-key watch, a good relatively low priced counterpart to a crazy Nooka watch or something. highly recommended.

Skullcandy Icon 2 Headphones

Skullcandy Icon 2 Headphones

Rating for this product: 2 December 6, 2009

I had a pair of the old Recruits and a pair of the old Icon 1 headphones. These are exactly the same, except that the double band at the top is now a single one. The headphones sounded about the same as the ones you get for free on airlines, except the bass was a little better. The speakers themselves are very plasticy and hard, and they do a bad job of sitting comfortably on your ears. The best experience I had with these was while snowboarding, just because they were outside my hat so I couldnt feel them, and they are inexpensive so i didnt worry about breaking them. Too bad they broke fairly quickly...

Skullcandy Skullcrusher Headphones - 2011

Rating for this product: 2 December 5, 2009

These headphones sound ok. the regular sound isnt anything special for the money. the cool part is the subwoofer, which comess in the form of a big plastic amp about halfway down the cord. its really heavy when the batteries are in it, so I wouldnt walk around with these unless you want a big chunk of plastic hooked to your belt. the bass sound is pretty cool, but it gets really annoying. they are foldable, but break REALLY easily. mine is held together with a rubber band. I'd recommend getting a different pair unless you REALLY want the bass.

Oakley at its best

Oakley Jupiter Sunglasses

Oakley Jupiter Sunglasses

Rating for this product: 5 November 19, 2009

I have these in the clear/violet colorway, and let me tell you, these shades kick a**. Clear frames seem like an odd idea, but they look really good when they are on your face. The frame appears semi-invisible, but looks sick. The violet iridium is totally unique and is COMPLETELY mirrored. The edges of the lenses fade to blue and green, which looks sick. These are really just a remake of the iconic Frogskins, with MANY improvements. The metal hinges are VERY sturdy and smooth, much more so than the Gascan or Frogskins hinges. They run tighter than the Frogskins, but that serves to keep them stuck to your face. I get comments on these EVERYWHERE. They also happen to be some of the less expensive Oakleys out there, so jump on these!!!!

Also, there is another version called the Jupiter LX that is also awesome. Instead of a regular plastic frame, the LX has an acetate frame. This is heavier, but is also more durable and more "luxurious" feeling. There is a Shaun White colorway that is AWESOME. The LX tends to run a little more expensive, but they are great. They feel like a combination of Oakleys and Ray-Bans. Also recommended.

Oakley Montefrio Sunglasses

Rating for this product: 3 November 19, 2009

I am a huge Oakley fan, but these are towards the bottom of the list. I find them to be a lot heavier than most other Oakleys. After a few minutes the bridge of your nose starts to feel them. They also have a bit of an awkward shape - they wrap around your head like a square rather than a U. I also find that they don't look very good on almost anyone. But if you can pull them off, go for it!

Oakley Lens Cleaning Kit w/ Case

Oakley Lens Cleaning Kit w/ Case

Rating for this product: 5 November 19, 2009

If you have a pair of Oakley Iridium sunglasses or Goggles, you should make this fifteen dollar investment. A minute with this cleaning kit will make even the most oily lenses look like a brand new mirror. The cloth included is a lot better than the bags that Oakley includes with their sunglasses. And you can get a free solution refill if you bring the can to an Oakley store. The screwdriver is cool, but you probably won't be using it unless you are into customization, and even then, it doesn't have the heads for many Oakley hinges.

DC Court Graffik Skate Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 November 10, 2009

Got these a few years back when they first came out. I went through these shoes in around 3 months of casual street wear. The design is really bland - it just says DC on different parts of the shoe. DC calls their material "suede" but its really just some kind of cheap material covered with a lining. it peeled off. If you want a skate shoe that won't fall apart on you that looks a little like this, Fallen makes some nice options.

I got the black/white stripe colorway. These things are awesome. I really thrash my gear sometimes, and these boots barely even have a scratch. You get a LOT of value with the Prion. These are just as good as those new Nike Snowboarding boots (AKA glorified AF1s), but cost half as much. I'd reccommend these especially to a beginner/intermediate, but a good park rider could rock these as well.

Oakley Frogskins Polarized Sunglasses

Oakley Frogskins Polarized Sunglasses

Rating for this product: 4 November 10, 2009

First off, I love the Frogskins. Oakley's Frogskins have always been, and still are, one of the more sought after fashion accessories. But the Frogskins are fashion accessories, and not much else. The re-released frogskins were never intended to be anything other than streetwear. If you need something for sports/want something that will really stick to your face, go with almost any other Oakley sunglass (the Jupiter is a great Frogskins alternative). I give the Frogskins 4 stars only because there are little things that Oakley could do to improve the shades, such as narrowing the mold, beefing up the hinges, and spicing up the more recent colorways.

These ones are polarized, and Oakley polarization is AWESOME. Trust me.

Volcom Enowen Denim Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 October 23, 2009

These are some solid pants if you want a tighter fit without having to wear those girl skinny pants that seem to be all the rage lately. The denim is pretty durable, and there are some cool details here and there that give the pants some personality. The embroidery on the back pockets looks sick. Also what usually is the V on the back of jeans looks like a giant N on these, which is a cool touch. My only gripe is that the hardware on them is pretty flimsy, the riveting broke on the button over the fly on mine, but that can ge fixed easily if you go to a cobbler that has a riveter.

Ipath Grasshopper Skate Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 23, 2009

I had these shoes a few years back when they were still making lots of colorways for it. Unless something has drastically changed about these over the past few years, these are probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever had. The shoe is really padded but is a little wider than others, so its like walking on a bunch of cushions. They also happen to be a little bulky. I never skated them, so I can't attest to their performance, but they seem like they will last a while. You can get these ina a few all-hemp styles if being super environmental is your thing. Also they have a stash pocket just like other iPaths which is always fun.

Nike Zoom Oncore Skate Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 October 14, 2009

I've got these in the purple/turq. They are really comfortable and look really cool, and have lasted me a while. These shoes are not good for skating. I tore them up pretty bad on the first day and never skated wit them again. The materials stand up well to regular use, but not skating. Thats what Nike SB is for. I feel like most Nike 6.0 kicks are made for wearing around and BMX (the soles have a square pattern that looks like it would be good for gripping pedals). I dont BMX so I can't judge that.

all in all these kicks look sweet but I wouldn't skate them.

Nike Dunk Low 6.0 Skate Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 October 14, 2009

These are just as well put together as any pair of Dunks. They run narrow, so if you have wider feet stay away. My feet are a tiny bit wide and they were uncomfortable for a couple weeks until I broke them in. The included insole is s**t, get a replacement. If you are looking for a skate shoe, don't buy Nike 6.0. Buy Nike SB. The Nike SB dunks have way more padding all around and seem to be a little more durable (as well as having way cooler colorways). The SB dunks are even tighter but they arent meant to be everyday kicks. they are skate shoes.

all in all 6.0 has some cool takes on classic style, but are not the best skate shoes. They last a long time. buy them half to a whole size larger than usual.

SICK BOARD

Gnu CHB MTX Snowboard

Gnu CHB MTX Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 October 5, 2009

There is not another board on the market that gets you such high quality for the money. This is a sick all mountain board. You can get mad speed on trails and it holds up in the park. I'd say it leans a little more towards a hill bombing board than a park board, but it can be used for both. My one little complaint is that the edges soften up quickly, but thats probably because i beat the hell out of my board and i'm a pretty heavy guy. I recommend this board to anyone beginner-advanced that is on a budget and wants a board that kicks ass. As for the graphics, they arent over the top so you dont look like a tool on the mountain like u can on some burton boards and such. pair it up with some Bent Metal bindings and you have a sick looking board too.

Got these last season after riding with some old Spy goggles for 6-7 years. I was hesitant to get them because they are pretty expensive, but I am so happy i did. The spherical lens kicks the crap out of my old lens, and the foam/strap is super comfortable. The silicone on the inside of the strap is really cool for helmets, but there isnt so much there that it pulls your hair/hat when you dont want to wear a helmet.
