Great Commuting backpack

Mountain Hardwear Rugger Backpack

This is a great commuting/school backpack. The padded backpanel as well as the padding on the shoulder straps provide a great deal of comfort and I've found the sternum strap to be very helpful with moderately heavy loads. The Tech specs indicate that there is no hip belt; however, this is not true as it does come with a very minimal unpadded strap that you can buckle at your waist. Overall the construction is very good, the zippers seem very durable and there is a pocket for just about everything.
