Rating for this product: 5 August 3, 2012

This is a great casual shirt. It hangs well and holds up well throughout the day. I find it very comfortable. One piece of advice....heed the warnings about the sizing. I am 6' and 185lbs. I am usually a large. I ordered this in an XL based upon the reviews that I read. I could not have worn a L as it is a slim fit. You won't be disappointed in this shirt.

Can this bag serve as a good skiing bag? Is it wide/big enough for boots, layers, helmet, gloves, etc?

The North Face Freedom Insulated Pant - Boys'

December 11, 2009

I got these for sons last season when they were 9 & 6 and I am getting them again this year. They held up to sleigh riding and a full season of skiing for both. The are a roomy cut so beware since you are buying for your daughter. Can't say where you could try them on, but The North Face lists retailers on their website.

Backcountry Access Stash Pack - 976cu in

October 27, 2009

This pack is very comfortable on the lift. It sits very close to the back and even when full does not expand so far that you feel like you are going to pitch forward on the lift. The compromise is that your ability to carry gear is limited. For inbounds skiing (i.e. with kids where you need to carry extra stuff) and side-country/slack-country ventures, this a great choice.

Great Jacket - Bad Sizing

Backcountry.com Stoic eVent Shell - Men's

Backcountry.com Stoic eVent Shell - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 October 16, 2009

Let me start by saying that the only reason that I did not give this jacket 5 stars is because of the sizing issues. I runs way small order a size up. If you don't believe me read the reviews below.

Sizing aside this jacket is awesome. I got it last season and took it from -4 in NY to 40 in Utah and it performed great under all conditions. It really vents well when you start to heat up working to keep you dry and comfortable. I have also worn it in the rain and it sheds water like my lab's coat of fur. BUT don't get fooled by the light weight this jacket will hold up i.e. random branches in the trees did not cause any tears.

Lastly, it is a little pricey but worth the investment.

Line Prophet 90 Ski

October 15, 2009

Length question: Do these ski short or long. I am 5'11" and 185. Can I go with the 179 or do I need the 186. I will take them all over the mountain. Also how about pairing these with the marker Griffons?

Line Prophet 100 Ski

October 9, 2009

I am looking at this ski as a second ski. I live in the east coast and ski the Legend 8000 as my everyday ski. Me 5'11" 184, solid level 7. This would be for powder days in the east (rare) and trips to the Wasatch. My question is do I go with these or the 90's.

I just got this jacket in a large. Is it meant to be worn snug by design? Going up a size would leave me with an extra 2" on the arms. Also has anyone worn this is sub 20 temps with layering under? It seems very light.
