Upon assembly and the first time use, I discovered while trying to tighten the cam lever screw(so I could clamp my bike frame), the clamp screw (P/N 1810) was binding inside the hex barrel rotating jaw (P/N 1803).
I determined the problem was related to a bad threading job by the Chinese subcontractor who made the stand.
I went to my local Ace hardware store and purchased a 3/8 x 16 tap and die so the threads could be fully cut into the hex barrel and chased the threads on the screw......easy job with a $12.00 expenditure.
This solved the QC issue and my new work stand was ready to go.....it works really well and makes working/adjusting the bike a breeze.
I opted to fix the problem myself rather than hassle with sending back the stand or parts.
