Beautiful but thin fabric

Horny Toad Penumbra Dress - Women's

Horny Toad Penumbra Dress - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 December 9, 2011

Fabric is beautiful and soft but is very thin. It's too thin for a winter dress, in my opinion - especially as it sticks to tights & leggings. Sadly returning this. For the record, I'm 5'7" and 130lbs and the medium fits well but clings (you can see the waistline of your tights and even of undies ;-)

I got the Lake Abyss in medium (I'm 5'7" and 5 months pregnant!) and it fits great. Inside bra is comfy and supportive enough and the fabric is cool and stretches enough to fit now & throughout the summer (and will fit just fine after as well!) Highly recommended.

Great hoodie, but...

prAna Ally Full-Zip Sweatshirt - Women's

I also got the Lake colour and agree that it is closer to Navy than the teal that shows on the site - but it's still a great colour. The sleeves fit long (so I tuck an inch or two up inside when wearing) and are quite snugly fit, so if you like pushing the up, they are a bit tight. I love the design but would have imagined that it would be lined with a thin lining - the inside isn't the usual soft hoodie type, but is more structured and textured and the cutouts are a bit messy on the inside. I would still recommend it and buy it but would suggest to prana that they line it - especially for the price.

Excellent Jacket

Marmot PreCip Jacket - Women's

Marmot PreCip Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 7, 2008

I live in Vancouver, BC and it pours with rain for about 6 months of the year (all winter). That's the bonus of living in a rainforest, but having good rain gear is super important. This might be the best rain jacket I've ever owned. Light, well-cut, folds into it's own pocket, pitzips and excellent, non-clammy breathable totally waterproof - it's been great! The sizing is quite accurate and is cut to fit over a fleece or softshell (since the jacket is really light).

Fabulous ski socks!

SmartWool Skiing Medium Sock - Women's DO NOT USE

Rating for this product: 5 January 7, 2008

I have just come back from an 8 day backcountry ski trip in the coast range north of Whistler, BC. I wore these socks everyday for skiing and didn't touch the other socks I brought. I love the long length and the padding in the front. They were extremely comfortable and believe it or not, didn't smell even after 8 days! Highly recommended and I plan to get a second pair.

I often get kid's clothes because they fit me quite well (I'm 5'7" and 130lbs). However, with this jacket, I ordered the size that matched me on the size chart and it was enormous~ both long and around! Also, it does not have pit zips as advertised. However, it was fabulously light and I've gone ahead and re-ordered in a women's size that should fit better. Also to note, the azalea color is very pink (more like a medium bubblegum than fuschia).

Great soft shell

Arc'teryx Gamma MX Hooded Jacket - Women's

Arc'teryx Gamma MX Hooded Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 November 20, 2007

This is a great jacket! The fit is very close to the sizing as advertised, the longer cut fits well and keeps you warm, and the hood is actually functional (you have peripheral vision, can wear it with a helmet, etc.) It is not meant for a downpour - it will soak though and although you'll be warm, you'll be damp. It's very rainy where I am so I now use a rain shell on top on really wet days but it's great in snow or light rain. Also love the colour (got the pink).
