Great Tent and Value.

Marmot Limelight Tent with Footprint and Gear Loft: 3-Person 3-Season

Marmot Limelight Tent with Footprint and Gear Loft: 3-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 5 August 9, 2012

I picked one of these up after using a friends last summer on a couple trips and being super impressed with the tent.

In varying conditions it's performed great, a pretty decent rain overnight I woke up totally dry in the morning. A few windy nights were no trouble either, that is after I guyed it out, it was totally solid. As others have mentioned the improved door design this year is a nice upgrade.

Super quick and painless set up, the hub pole design is really awesome and easy to use. Everything you need is included, 10 stakes, guy lines and tensioners, pole sleeve/repair tube, footprint and a gear loft, making this tent an even better value for the price.

Lots of great little pockets in the tent for quick and easy storage and access to little stuff. Im 5'10" and have plenty of room to stretch out lengthwise to stretch out in the tent as well as sit in the middle of it.

Overall I really like this thing and looking forward to all kinds of great adventures with it.

Great little jacket!

Patagonia Adze Softshell Jacket - Men's

Patagonia Adze Softshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 30, 2012

Have only had this a couple weeks now, haven't had the chance to really test it as I would like as the weather has been so nice here, but the initial impression from when I have used it so far its this is an awesome, light, warm, super versatile piece.

For fit reference I'm 5'10", 160lbs, 40 inch chest with broad shoulders and long arms and the Medium fits great. Nice trim athletic fit, would layer under a shell great.

Great hand feel to the material, much more pliable and quieter than a hardshell, with a little stretch to it, but still feels plenty tough.

Used it out waterskiing early a few mornings, was super impressed with the windproofing cruising around on the chilly lake when everyone else in the boat in a regular hoody was shivering I was totally comfortable.

This was also the only time I got to test the water repellency, everything that splashed on the jacket would bead right up with no real trace of moisture left on the jacket. This was a super limited test though.

After getting out of the water and being really cold I dried off, and tossed this back on over a t shirt and warmed right up. This provides lots of warmth for how light it is, definitely more insulating ability than I expected. Used it a couple nights camping and noticed the same thing.

Overall I really like this thing and think I have found my new go to jacket to toss in the back of the car or bottom of the pack 'just in case' Looking forward to being able to test it fully it once it cools down moving into fall.

Sweet Headband!

Rating for this product: 5 July 6, 2012

Having long hair im always looking for a way to keep it back/down/under control, this is an awesome option. Coolmax fabric wicks sweat and dries quick. The Material is super light and really comfortable, i forget im wearing it after a few minutes. They are only printed on one side though, the inside is a weird coolmax/tech print. So if it gets twisted or pulled up it wont match all the way around, minor detail and it stays in places really well. Measures just a hair over 4 inches tall.

Tall, but still pretty neat.

Rating for this product: 4 July 6, 2012

These are going to be taller than what you see in the main image, they have them folded up like a headband, make sure to check out the flat picture in the detail view down below the main image.

They measure about 7.5 inches tall. Super light material, lots of ways to fold it and wear it, really versatile and comfortable. If you wanted a skinnier headband style check out item #BUF0013.

Got the mesh version of these for general water tomfooleries during the summer and I couldn't be happier! Awesome for floating on the river, cliff jumping, boating, etc.

I dont wear socks with them and they are great casual shoes as well, lightweight, feel awesome to ride a bike in with all the ventilation. Get lots of compliments on these. Normally a 9.5, went down to a 9 and they fit great for all aforementioned activities, sans socks of course.

Rating for this product: 5 June 7, 2012

Im normally more into skinnier jeans, these are a bit more relaxed than I normally would wear without being baggy. they have a nice straight fit that looks good with lots of different types of shoes. Denim seems to be tough and they break in to be really nice and comfortable. Normally a 32, ordered 32 in these and they fit great.

Standard New Era Flat brim, 100% wool which is nice and soft, no fuzzies or pilling. Lettering on the front is raised off the hat, and a nice mini WeSC logo hit on the right side of the hat, just past where the bill ends on the first soft panel adds some style.

K2 Hellbent Alpine Ski

K2 Hellbent Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 April 10, 2009

Got the chance to try these out today for the first time, and i was lucky enough to have 12 inches of fresh at snowbird for my first time out on them. I could not be happier, they slay the powder, making big GS turns or quick pivot turns in the trees. Carve, smear, slash, wheelie, all more than doable on the hellbents. As it got more and more skied out i had to get back on main runs to make it back to the lift, they had not been groomed so it was semi hardpack with lots of variation, and super chunky/bunpy. i have the 189 mounted at +6 im 5'10" 165 lbs. These still rallied through the crud, and manky hardpack, throw em over on edge and hold on! you'll be laying railroad tracks in no time. I'm super impressed with the versatility of this ski, especially at 122 underfoot, 189 length (they are much longer than that BTW) and the huge rocker, get these and you will not be disappointed.

I believe you are correct, the kryptons toe piece is a litte bit narrower than most boots, and since the jester lacks toe height adjustment i've heard of more than a few people pre releasing from them.

Rossignol Axial2 Freeride 200 XXL Ski Binding - Wide

February 9, 2009

If you are cranking your bindings up all the way (which you should not be doing, unless you really hate your knees), these technically have a slightly higher DIN rating (18 as opposed to 16 on the salomons) but aside from that I would say they are both equally as good at holding your ski on.This binding will not pre-release due to its super high range of elastic travel, which means where alot of bindings may pop off, these will hang on for the ride, and re center you.

Anybody know about the toe piece clicking on these binders? when skiing hard on bigger terrain the toe pieces make a clicking noise, and i have some vertical slop, the bindings are adjusted correctly, forward pressure is good etc. it makes me really nervous was wondering if anyone else had similar experiences.

Marker Duke Ski Binding

January 22, 2009

i would not put this on an ARG, think about how much base contact an ARG has with the snow, with its reverse sidecut, reverse camber profile, then think about how bad it would suck trying to skin uphill with only a small portion of your base touching the snow, where as most people have full tip to tail contact. The JJ would be a pretty decent idea though, not as good as a regular camber ski, but i can imagine the ride down being totally worth it, and its pretty light, that it could work pretty well, you still wont have full tip to tail contact since it is rockered, but it would be way better than the ARG.

Marker Baron Ski Bindings

January 21, 2009

I wouldn't worry about it, you can remount up to three times with little to no concern. Especially with the barons which have one of the widest mounting footprints on the market, so the screws are more than likely going to be further apart, especially in the toe. You can also mount them further forward if you want to get flippy spinny, since they shift back 3cm when put in tour mode, or if you are going to be using them strictly as a touring ski you can mount them further back for better climbing ability. If you do decide to get barons, i would love to take the old bindings off your hands, for real.

Rossignol S6 Koopman Alpine Ski

January 20, 2009

I just bought the 186 S6, and mounted them on the back line out of the three. I would not mount any forward than this. I looked into even moving it back another cm or two but the ski is designed for those mount points. In the BC yesterday carving some big fresh turns i noticed some drag in my outside ski, could be a number of things but I have been wondering if its bc of the center mount.......anyway....mount back in my opinion, you will still be plenty balanced if you want to do all your fakie-ness. I mounted mine on the middle of the three lines and its PERFECT, i like to ski switch, though im not very flippy spinny, but the "modern" line is perfect for me, they charge everything awesome, forwards and backwards. 5"10' 165 lbs, riding 185's

Rating for this product: 5 September 26, 2008

Really nice set of more travel friendly over the ear headphones form Skullcandy. You get the performance sound you would expect from Skullcandy, great responsive bass/mids, with really crisp clear highs, all while canceling a good bit of outside noise. I only turn my ipod up halfway and i can not hear people talking 4 feet away. Super good price, and these fold up into the size of a fist.

Awesome heavy duty hoody. Super warm, with a great fleece lining. My favorite part is the zipper. I always break the zippers on all my other hoodies. This is a serious metal zipper I would have to try really hard to break. Nice loose/baggy cut with a little more length than most other hoodies.

Armada ARV Series Alpine Ski

May 21, 2008

These skis are awesome in tight trees! really maneuverable and easy to throw around for quick turns/dodging trees, decently stiff flex to avoid them from getting bounced around on any chop you might encounter. They also hold speed really well if you want to open it up in the trees, or anywhere else on the mountain.

Looks Good

Airblaster Ninja Face Balaclava

Airblaster Ninja Face Balaclava

Rating for this product: 4 January 2, 2008

the material has a nice feel on the skin, but when it wets out from high aerobic activity, it takes too long to dry compared to other similar products. this is probably because your material is more dense, and does not have enough air/loft between the synthetic fibers - which would allow the air to circulate better and therefore dry faster. so bottom line.....it works very well as a fashion statement for a Vogue magazine cover, but in the world of athletic endeavors, it fails the test.
