I recently got a pair of Scarpa AT boots here and they are a complete success. Just got back from a week of lift service in the Rockies and was very pleased with their performance. In general, I will be using them primarily for backcountry touring where steep gradient and tougher conditions are less ideal for my tele set up. The trees, steeps, and bump I encountered and the vertical feet advantage of doing lift service helped me get an idea of how good they will be in steep, tight cruddy places which is where I want them to shine. These guys helped me get the right size over the phone, not an easy thing to do. My opinion is that two pair of sox and a looser boot is a warmer boot, if you're living in them in the backcountry and don't like having cold feet. A lot of salespeople will try to get you into too tight a boot because of performance. All the controls worked well and the boots walk and climb well and comfortably. The price for the performance is excellent.
