Not great for the long trips

The North Face Paramount Convertible Pant - Men's

The Paramount Convertible Pant is good for everyday wear. North Face is one of the only companies that carry a selection of dark colors for convertible pants in long sizes. Dark colors don’t show the dirt that you are exposed to on extended hikes. I was hoping for a good sturdy pant for the Pacific Trail but I found that these pants will not hold for the long haul. I wore them on one weekend trip and the threads in the seat were worn. A reinforced seat would make the Paramount Convertible pant the perfect hiking pant.
I don’t recommend these pants for an extended expedition.
