I cannot complain about the price, but the shoe just does not feel very substantial. I bought them to replace a pair of aging Vasque Exodus approach shoes, and these are nowhere near the caliber of the Exodus. The lining is very thin and the uppers have a cheap, "cardboardey" feel to them. The soles seem to have good traction but the rubber feels hard compared to the rubber on the Exodus. I would not attempt much climbing with these things on my feet if I were you. All in all it looks like Vasque has started using their reputation to peddle cheap, inferior quality merchandise like everyone else. Too bad, I have been wearing Vasque footwear for 35 years and will no longer just be able to buy their products assuming they are up to their past standards of quality.
