Outside...then inside, same water right?

Tried with a hose outside...then got chilly and went inside under the shower. I just got this jacket today in the mail, so I haven't "field" tested it yet, but i did do a quick water test outside and then inside, did great and I did't get wet at all. I'm just shy of 6 ft and around 180 lbs. I ordered the large and it fits great, enough room to layer underneath, but not too bulky that I feel awkward.
