Great material and the cut and quality of scapegoat are outstanding, the only donwside of this jacket was that the hood itself its non removable, that was the only reason we returned this one to get the standard version

Cute but not so functional

The jacket is well made and feminine looking. It's a bit too snug fitting for me as I like to wear thick sweaters underneath, and it could be longer. It has a fleece lining but is not insulated as such. Maybe a spring and fall jacket. Also, it's more of a city/casual jacket instead of an outdoors jacket. Looks, very cute, though.

I got this jacket for $82 and was really pleased with the construction and style. Super deal. The jacket is really well made, they paid attention to detail, used good quality materials and it has nice seams. Agree with other comments that this is suited to casual city life things. The insulation is light, so it's a good jacket for pre & post winter, but not warm enough for a Colorado winter. (But I'm often cold.) I am 5'2" and this jacket fit better than the Standard Version. (This jacket could get over my hips, where the Standard jacket was too long and bunched up over my hips.)

Great casual jacket

By:

I bought this jacket for a relative. It is very well-made, and quite warm (without being bulky). It's fit is slightly on the fitted size, but very stylish and flattering. The material is soft on the inside and outside, and looks like it will wear well. It is water resistant, but I wouldn't wear it in a prolonged downpour. It's not meant to be a softshell, but instead more of a casual jacket (it doesn't have zippered pockets, it's not waterproof, etc). But it is really stylish, and can easily fit in at a bar at the base of the slopes, or even at a high-end restaurant.

Really, what let me to buy this jacket is the Scapegoat brand. This is a company founded by some clothes designers in Boulder, CO. They made quality, hi-tech, stylish clothes for an active lifestyle. They were apparently bought by Prana, and then Prana discontinued the Scapegoat brand earlier this year. This is really unfortunate, as they made great clothes. Anyway, that's the history behind this company, so if you are interested in this jacket, I'd get it while you can.

Great jacket

This jacket is super cute. I tried it on last year and loved it, but didn't want to fork out $275 for it. Got it on backcountry.com for $85 this year - what a bargain and I love it just as much. Perfect for Fall.
