Rossignol BC X5 Boot

Item # ROS0593

Stiff and supportive enough for steeper descents, yet injected with dual-density plastic molding for optimized flex and control, the Rossignol BC X5 Boot can take you from valley floors to high saddles with smooth performance. With Rossignol's Activ' Control Concept heel support to enhance support and control, and a Double Guide Groove for maximum contact with your ski, you get greater control with improved stability and power transfer. Rossignol also gave the BC X5 a thermo moldable liner for precise fit and comfort according to the shape of your foot, so long tours don't result in hot spots and blisters.

  • Lateral support 3D cuff with optimized flex
  • Zip snow gaiter keeps out snow

Bottom Line:

An all-terrain boot for backcountry tours.

Hi - I just bought a pair of these boots from you, and see that the binding is different from the NNN bindings on my skis. The bar appears to be thicker, and is also longer or wider. What kind of binding does it use, and will it work on my old skis?

Hi Iver,
The Rossi BC X5 boot fits NNN-BC bindings. They will not fit your NNN bindings. You will either have to get an NNN boot, or upgrade your current bindings to an NNN-BC binding, such as the Rossi Auto NNN-BC binding. I think you will find the NNN-BC combination will give you more leverage. Good Luck!

These boots use the NNN-BC binding system. Unfortunately they will not work with your current bindings. Try the Atomic Mover 30 on this site or a Salomon. If you are looking for a beefy, "BC" touring boot, you will need to change your Salomon bindings anyway.

How does the thermo moldable liner work? Do you have to put a hair dryer in the boot for 5 minutes, then wear it 'til it cools? Or is it molded by the natural heat of your foot while you ski?

These are the Men's version. The BC X5 FW are simply the women's version of this boot, and has a Women's specific last.

You can check out the FW at:
