Not crashing enough? If your answer is 'no,' then it's time to go faster. When you do, reach for the RED Trace II Helmet before you set out for terminal velocity, though and feel its comfortable design protectin' yo' dome. Removable ear pads allow it to jump between the seasons so you can wear this durable ABS lid in the skate park or on a bike ride in addition to on the hill. A grip of vents on top ensure you don’t sweat your brains out, and the included NoAir Vent Plugs means that you can achieve a warm head again once winter returns.
Perfect fit! I have a 22.5" (57cm) circumference and went with the Large and it fits great. I can even sneak a beanie underneath with easy. Recommended for sure.
We purchased this helmet for my 10 year old daughter who loves to snowboard but HATES to wear head protection. She was very happy she had this on when she fell on the slopes just as a skiier went by and hit her in the head with his ski. She said she felt the impact but thank goodness she was fully protected. The helmet fits well, keeps her ears warm and looks very slick with her goggles. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I found it for slightly less money at a local sporting goods store. Still, the customer service at DogFunk, the lifetime warranty and the super protection it provides my child is worth every penny.
Very satisfied. Breathes well, fits well, and I was able to easily install headphones. I had a bit of a fall and my head hit some hardpack. I was a little stunned, but otherwise OK. So it does what it was designed for: protecting my melon. Kind of wish it had a goggle strap on the back, but it fit really well with my Dragons otherwise. Highly recommended.
I've had a Trace II for a few years. It's a fine helmet. No frills. Nothing special. Feels very safe & solid. The fit is round and roomy for big heads like mine (as opposed to oval or pinching at the top). The fact that the removable clip opens upward (in the direction a goggle strap would slide) renders it pretty useless. Apparently all Anon (read: Burton) goggles securely attach to the clip. The round, smooth helmet makes it really easy for goggles to squirt/slip off so a clip is necessary. This can easily be mitigated by attaching a rubber band to the clip.
I tried this helmet on the other day in a local shop and this is most likely the one i will be buying from here. I am also a 7 1/2 new era hat size (hat fits snug/not loose). If you are planning on stripping out the ear pads and extra padding n wearing a beanie and goggles under then go with the large. Thats the look I was going for and It fit perfect for me that way.
I previously had the 2008 Hi-Fi with build in skullcandys, then I got a concussion, so it was pretty much useless.
THEN, last year I received this as an early Christmas present. With the REDphones, it works perfect. Awesome fit, warm, keeps the wind out, and most of all, VERY comfortable. If you are willing to spend another $40 for the Hi-Fi, go ahead, but you can't go wrong with the Trace. RED and burton products continue to impress, once again.

It's a nice helmet and its comfortable.and the red phones are really nice but it was a pain when my smith goggle frames were to big and it was a pain to adjust all the time
