Race Face Deus XC Stem

Race Face used 3D engineering to shave every bit of excess material from the Deus XC Stem, creating a superlight stem for top-level cross-country racers and weight watchers. That's no reason to think the forged 7050 aerospace aluminum Deus Stem is weak, or that its four-bolt clamp won't grip your handlebar like a deep-sea scallop on steroids. What it really means is that if you bolt this stem to your bike, you can stop huffing helium before races just to shave a few grams. Besides, we heard that doesn't even make you any lighter, just dumber.

Bottom Line:

Joking aside, this Race Face stem is lighter than your interior decorator's loafers.

What race face head set should I use with the race face deus XC stem?

The stem and the headset need not to match. This stem with work with any 1 1/8inch 31.8mm fork and any standard press fit headset. Being a lightweigh cross-country stem you may want to look at the new light Crank Brothers cobalt headsets.

Perfect Stem

I can't believe the difference this stem makes. The new Raceface XC stem and EA70 mid rise bar together weigh less than the stock aluminum bar that came OEM.
