Be comfortable at the crag, in the yoga studio, or out to lunch in the prAna Sabin Racer Top. You'll appreciate this racer-back tank top's breathability and stretchiness, and the internal shelf bra provides the right amount of support for climbing and other physical activities. This wrinkle-resistant top also sports a shirred bodice, so you can wear it out on the town.
Bottom Line:
Performance and style meet in prAna's Sabin Racer Top.
I am pretty much always a Med top. The sizing on these was right, but the fit was odd... the bust area wasn't flattering at all. I ordered 2 different prints and the black hoping that at least one if not all would work, but they are all going back. Super disappointed since they are so cute in the pics!
I have a recurrent problem with fitting into prana's tops even though they are so nice. I think they favor those who are a little "fuller" up top. The fabric and color were beautiful but there was no way I could go running or do yoga in it because it was too loose in the chest. I still think it's a great top and I love Prana
I really like prAna's tops for hot Bikram yoga. However, as other reviewers have noted, prAna does not seem to design for those of us who are not so busty. I find that I never fill out the internal shelf bra (on size Small or Medium, and Smalls are skin tight on me everywhere else). I find that most of prAna's tops are too revealing when in forward bending poses. I recommend the Sabin Racer for that very reason, good coverage. It's also a cute design. prAna calls this synthetic performance fabric Chakara and it's awesome for hot yoga. It's incredibly soft, and still really comfortable when soaking wet.
I love Prana designs, but they are not for every body type. I am a 34B, narrow waist, and 34" hips. Height: 5.6". I wear XS in American brands, and usually S in European brands. I ordered this top in XS and decided to return it. I think it requires much fuller breasts and a wider mid section. The fabric is thick and good quality. Doesn't seem like it would wear out in the laundry easily. I also love the length of this top. Long enough to let you move without having to pull your shirt down all the time.
I always look for Sabin on sale because it JUST THE MOST comfortable yoga top going. I have lots of Lululemon + many others but I always find this one the most comfortable.
I have to disagree with the reviews that say this top isn't for the small chested ladies...tiny up top here, and I love it. The ruching at the chest actually makes the girls look pretty nice. I'm 5'2", 120 lbs, and 34A and was pleased with the size small. Love the prints!
This is one of my favorite tops in the Prana line. Great fit and coverage extends below the waist. Excellent in the yoga studio, no ride up even in the stretching poses. The color selections are flattering and add a great touch of spring to the outfit.
I will be returning this top. It is cute, but I got this top at the same time I got the prAna Abi tank top. I fell in love with the Abi so much that I knew I would never want to wear this top when I could be wearing the Abi instead. The material in the Abi is CRAZY soft & comfy and in my opinion the design of the Abi is so much cuter! Since they're in the same price range, I would say skip this top and get the Abi!
Have to say that I love 2008 prints and HATE 2009 prints. Looking forward to seeing what comes out in 2010. The funky 60's style print matches everything and the fabric is my favorite thing about Prana whatever the style of active top. It is light, no show thru, lightly brushed, soft, not itchy, nice shelf bra, huggy but not too tight... my love goes on. I wear these to yoga, on vacation, and they look great. They launder easily--I machine wash on gentle and hang to dry. They are dry in no time and still look brand new. A friend said they are way too expensive but at the rate they are holding up, not stretching out and still looking great I think it was a great deal!!!
I have several of these tops. Love the fun prints and it is super comfortable. I don't do much yoga, but often wear it casually or for cross-training such as biking or on the elliptical and I find it works well for many activities. Nice cut and doesn't ride up at all. Wears and washes well.
Okay, the petal color/pattern has got to be one of the least attractive I've seen. That aside, there was a looseness to this top that just didn't cut it. It has potential, the shirring at the bodice is good... but there is still a bit of uniboob. It is large/loose (I got a small.) I don't like to order XS because then I get a skin tight look and heck, I'm 46 years old, time to have some dignity, no? Also, then sometimes the chest support moves into the masher zone. THis almost made the cut, good coverage and I like the back, but beware the looseness.
This one is my favorite so far. Love the wild yet subdued Capri Blue Flower--it matches everything! Wore for yoga and did not need to unbunch, pull, tug, cover up, worry about flashing anyone--perfect!!
The Sabin racer has a nice fit and style up top, but is looser in the tummy. I am usually a small or extra small but I ordered an XS and it was a little baggy in the tummy. Lovely shape and fabric. I would buy this again in different colours if they were available. It is very comfortable and flattering. I have ordered smalls in all other PrAna tops though this XS is bigger that the other smalls.
I ordered a dark gray XS from SAC. The material was great, sleek and comfortable, but sadly the top did not fit to my liking. My body type is similar to previous poster Janan-- tall, slim, 32B with a narrow waist. While the chest/straps seemed to fit fine with appropriate coverage/support, the mid section was unflatteringly wide to the point of looking baggy, particularly in the back. Functionally the top would have been great, but I returned it because it didn't look cute on me.
I love this top and bought a "Port." When it arrived, however, the "Port" came as a wine-colored solid and not a print as pictured. However, I love this top!
I bought one of these tops and after a week of wearing it to every yoga class, I bought three more! I usually buy mediums, but I fit into a small which I think is perfect and pretty supportive for a B cup. I didn't find it bulky or having excess material at all. I was surprised that the solid black was a different material than the prints, but realized that this site does point that out if you read closely. I love both materials, though, so it worked out. Super cute and flattering!!!
If you've been looking for a workout top, quit searching. This is the one you want. It is THE MOST comfortable work out top with a built in bra I have ever worn. I would definitely buy this again. I am 5 months pregnant and can still wear this top, which means that it is long enough that you don't have to worry about it riding up or being too short. I'm a B cup and got a medium, fits perfect. I washed this in cold water, hang dry and its still as soft as the first time I wore it.
The first time I put my top on I new it was going to become my favorite thing to climb in. The material is thick and stretchy. The cut is very flattering.
One of the most flattering workout shirts I own. It's a thicker material but I've found that it's not an issue for even the hottest days. It runs slightly larger but I normally buy medium and medium fits fine. It doesn't ride up while running either.
I own 3 of these. I wear one as a base layer all day, starting with yoga in the morning, then to work, then for my lunchtime walk or run, back to work, afternoon walk/run, back home. They wick, offer great support for B cups or smaller, don't stink, wash great (tho' I have dried them in the dryer and they hold up fine, I prefer to line-dry in the hope that they'll last longer). The v-neck is flattering, but not revealing and doesn't budge, even in inversions. No fear of a Miss Jackson. Looks great with tuxedo pants and heels, too.
I was wary of ordering the Sabin top in grape as it looks pretty bright in the photo, but it turned out to be a lovely dusty hue--much mellower than pictured. The Sabin top is my favorite top for climbing, pilates and bikram yoga. The fabric is not too thick and not too thin, the pinch-front is stylish, and the length is long enough to cover my belly and the top of my shorts or capris. Of all the sport tops I've tried on--and that's a lot--the Sabin is the most comfortable and most flattering.
Absolutely love that top! Makes you bust look great, wonderful color for blondish women, great with you tan. A bit much material, but that creates the wonderful shape.
