The Elite Barrier Jacket provides you with the optimum amount of wind and water protection while still offering a breathable, supple fabric. The simple, form-fitted cut keeps it close to your torso -- there's no disturbing parachute effect with this jacket. It comes equipped with a rear zippered pocket for those days when you'll be using it as the main outer layer and you want to have your essentials safe and immediately reachable. The full front zipper has a draft flap that runs its length, ensuring fantastic protection from those cold winds you'll undoubtedly encounter. Affording the same protection from penetrating chills, the hem and cuffs are elasticized to fit snugly against your body. And since cold days are often dark days, an abundance of reflective elements have been included to keep you visible in low light.

Good for the Price

Overall for the sale price, good deal and good jacket. Was dumped on and still kept pretty dry.

I am 6'2", 190, and went with the XL. A bit loose, but I prefer especially if layers on underneath.

Very nice but a little short on features

Nice materials and nice fit. Velcro rear pocket is close to worthless and elastic cuffs feel a bit cheap and uncomfortable. Still, I like it and it functions well.

Now I can ride through rain and wind

This jacket is first and foremost, super compact. It fits on your jersey's back pocket easily and it is ready for action in a second. It fits comfortably and it does resist some mild rain. I was able to test this during one of my rides a few weeks ago. When it started raining, I put on my jacket and when I got home, my jersey was the only thing dry on me. Now as far as drawbacks, I would think that the number one drawback is that it does not have a zipper in the back pocket. It only attaches with velcro and it does not seem secure enough to carry things. The other minor drawback is that it does make some noise when going against the wind. I can live with that, but some other people might find that annoying. Overall, I am very satisfied with this jacket and would recommend it without hesitation. This is not a jacket for cold weather. For that get a thermal jacket. This is for casual cool-weather riding.
