Patagonia Capilene 3 Bottom - Men's - 2010 BCS

Item # PAT2158

Gear up appropriately for your winter activities and pull on the Patagonia Men’s Capilene 3 Bottom. This quick-drying, moisture-wicking, breathable bottom leaves you comfortable and warm when you bag early morning peaks or lounge around the lodge. A gusseted crotch allows for easy moving, while a contoured cut and brushed surface make for easy layering. Patagonia's Gladiodor keeps the smell down for multi-day tours.

Awesome Baselayer!

I've worn these numerous times in low teen weather, with only jeans over them, and they have done an awesome job! They keep my legs warm when I'm idle and do not cause me to overheat when I am moving. I've gotten them wet several times, not on purpose, from rain and snow and they dry very quickly without even taking them off. Couldn't ask for more.

Should have tried these first!

I have tried several different types of long underwear in the past, but this is my first pair of Capilene pants. I have to say that I am very impressed and pleased with this material. The Cap-3 is lightweight, highly compressible, breathable, flexible, warm, and comfortable. They fit close to the skin, but do not constrict like tights or bunch up behind the knees or under the crotch. These pants deliver all the things, and more, that I want from my base layer.

My biggest complaint with most mid-weight base layers is that they tend to be pretty shabby at keeping in the heat when the storm sets in. However, I find myself pleasantly surprised with the Cap-3 material and its heat management abilities. When paired with a shell pant, these are all the insulation I need. Plus, the material is thin enough to fit into my tight boots along with my socks. At 5’10” 175 lbs. I found the Medium to be a perfect fit.

These are not just expensive pajamas.

Warm and toasty

These are a great pair of long underwear, Patagonia's capilene fabric feels great against the skin, these work well under ski pants for temps around 20+, anything lower would require some extra layering. Love em!

Comfortable, soft, non-restrictive, warm...what else are you looking for? Purchased for skiing and would do so again. 4 stars due to price but like anything else if you're willing to pay what they're asking then who are you to complain?
