Thanks to its Dri-Release Wool fabric, the Outdoor Research Sequence Short-Sleeve Men's Tee keeps you dry on the trail and feeling comfortable during everyday use. This isn't some itchy old-school wool shirt. The combination of polyester and merino wool makes the Sequence incredibly soft and durable. This lightweight Outdoor Research tee is both fast drying and great looking. So the question is, do I wear this comfy shirt on the trail or around town? The answer is both.
Bottom Line:
Say goodbye to old wool, and welcome the lightweight, soft Outdoor Research Sequence Tee.
Besides the fact that it's the most comfortable shirt I own even more comfortable than my Icebreaker merino wool shirt, this shirt blows all competition away in every category. I used it while I was backpacking through the alps and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed. The shirt doesn't smell, breathes well, and dries rather quickly(yet not as fast as the patagonia capilene 1). Although it doesn't stay as "fresh" as long as the Icebreaker for the price I'd rather own 3 of these instead of 1 Icebreaker. I highly recommend buying one for any sort of physical activity you won't be disappointed!I have used the patagonia capilene 1, icebreaker merino wool shirts, and the OR sequence and I must say the sequence takes the gold(unless you have the extra cash to buy a merino wool shirt).
Warm, light, stylin', blue is the color of consciousness. Really, really, really good shirt, a steal on sale. Me: 6 feet, 190, 44 chest, size large. You: happy if you buy this.
I bought this t-shirt under the impression that it can wick away moisture. Wore this to a trip to Yosemite and the wool blend retains alot of moisture and does NOT dry quickly (actually weighs you down). Overall size is a tad smaller than normal and the neck circumference does not help with ventilation. Also tried it out at the gym... came out soaking wet and smelly.
I like this one as a base layer for cool or cold days. Like every wool shirt I own, it's slightly warmer than a corresponding weight of synthetic-only shirt, but not as warm as a 100% wool shirt. I get really hot when I hike & sweat plenty and this shirt is just too warm if it isn't cool out. But it feels great, wicks decently and DOESN'T GET STINKY like a full synthetic does.
This is my standard base layer/activity t-shirt for EVERYTHING. Winter ski touring, summer climbing and biking. The wool/poly blend is great, as I find pure wool too warm and wet, but this mix is the right formula for comfort, odor control, and wicking. You can't go wrong really!
this shirt is light, feels great, and look good too. the only issue i found was that as i move around while staying dry, my chest hair builds static. its the only shirt i have that does this. otherwise i really like this shirt.
This shirt is my first choice for trail running from coldest cold to hottest hot. The fabric blend wooly-warms in the Winter and vaporation-cools in the Summer.
It's the only shirt I've found that's so nipple-friendly that band-aids aren't needed on trail ultras.
This shirt also makes an excellent first base layer, and it's a cool and funky t-shirt when worn under a collar-and-tie work getup.
Mountain Biking, bouldering, trail running, climbing, ski touring I have been lovin this shirt for its versatility and comfort in the mountains and back in town.
This wool-based tee is great in hot weather especially humid conditions. I even like it better than traditional silkweight. I wish OR offered more than three colors.
I have a few silkweight T-shirts for summer weather. But this wool-based T-shirt, works even better than silky polyester shirts like Patagonia's Capilene, especially in humid conditions.
