Outdoor Research Brooks Ranger Overboot - 2009 BCS

Item # ODR0515

It's always nice to come back from your mountaineering expedition with all of your toes intact, so prepare for the worst with the Outdoor Research Brooks Ranger Overboot. This full-coverage gaiter features closed-cell foam insulation to trap heat and Poron foam in the sole to prevent cold from coming through your boot soles. The Brooks Ranger's breathable softshell upper gives you moisture management for endless summit slogs and the boot works with step-in crampons.

Bottom Line:

Save your toes, you only get 10.

Some good booty

It's nice to be able to get out of your boots and into these guys at the end of the day. You can slip 'em on with your liners and help dry them out around camp.

These are obviously made for high altitude and extremely cold temps. They don't stay dry in wet and sloppy conditions.

Overall a nice piece of softwear to have along.

Yes, the Overboot is sized the same as the Expedition gaiters. Specifically, if you have a large gaiter you will want a size large Overboot.

Thanks,
OR
