Orage Lenny Softshell Jacket - Men's

Item # ORG0655

Spring days in the terrain park? Après bumming around Main Street? The Orage Lenny Softshell Jacket is down like a clown. The two-ply softshell material blocks mild moisture and breathes like mad while you bust out gnarly radness on the rails, and the slim fit looks street-savvy post shred. Orage added a fully adjustable hood for protection from ear-numbing wind and face-stinging sky barf.

Bottom Line:

The pre-, mid-, and post-ski softshell.

This jacket is much more waterproof than I had expected...especially from my experience with other cheaper soft-shells.

Bought it on SAC for a really good price as well-needed something with a hood for ice-climbing/mountaineering/winter hiking needs, and this seems like it's going to do just fine.

My only quibble is the lack of velcro on the wrists...but not a huge deal

For the price, not bad

Bought this softshell in medium-blue of sac for a great deal. In my mind, it's more of just a windproof/waterproof hoodie, as I don't think it would perform as a well as a top notch softshell in terms of breathability and flexibility, not that I expected this for the price. The sleeves are long, but fit me well (6'4" height, 36" arms in shirts, 160lb alien species). I plan on using it around town, biking in nasty weather, and maybe skiing on warmer days. No elastic or velcro closures on the wrists, and stitching doesn't seem as good on mine as the other review I suppose, but for the price, it should work.

How does this jacket hold up in the cold? Is there a fleece lining

How does this jacket hold up in the cold? Is there a fleece lining in it at all?

Great Soft Shell

By:

I am 6' and 185lbs. I bought a medium in black and it looks great. I am not a huge fan of soft shell jackets but this one is pretty nice. Super water shedding. I haven't taken it in the rain yet hosed it down in the front yard and not a drop got inside. I like the cut. The sleeves are extra long. My arms aren't as long as most guys so they hit me on the thumb knuckle. It's not incredibly light weight or insulated but it will keep you warm enough. Overall, I really like it and I would definitely recommend it. Got it on SAC for a great price.

Just bought this in SAC for a good price...but just wondering, why is it that Orage's website does not include this jacket at all? Maybe a misprint, or a limited run or something?

You say the waterproofing is great, huh? Seems like a really nice jacket

Sweet Jacket but...

Like the slim fit, color (got the light blue), and the hood, but the sleeves are SERIOUSLY long. And I thought Stoic had long sleeves on their jackets... They could trim 2 full inches off the sleeve length and they'd still be on the long side.

Unfortunately I'm not a gorilla, so right now I'm contemplating either a return or taking it down to the tailor and having them look at me a bit sideways for modding a softshell. Got it for $63 on SAC so not going to complain that much.

Nitpicks - bit heavier than I was expecting, and zipper is on the wrong side for us in the US.

Pros - Clean stitching and solid construction. Like the zipper garage on top. Pretty comfy.
