Orage JP Pro Model Jacket - Men's

Item # ORG0375

The Orage Men’s JP Pro Model Jacket is the God of all ski jackets. It is one-bad-ass jacket that can withstand the wrath of Zeus, while you shred your local Headwall. Like – Besides the fact that this jacket follows JP Auclair into the boundary-pushing backcountry-ski world.

  • 20K-Rated fabric and fully taped seams shield you from Mother Nature
  • Elbow articulation allows for easy maneuverability while building your kickers
  • Unzip underarm vents to dump excess heat
  • Powderskirt and hand gaiters block snow and keep in body heat
  • H2O bladder-compatible pocket in the back of the jacket for staying hydrated
  • Quilted thermal banana keeps the back of your neck warm
  • Plenty of pockets for your gear

Bottom Line:

Zeus—compatible.

Bullit Proof

This is the best jacket I have ever had. Its light weight yet very breathable. At first I thought i would need a medium to heavy base layer, but found out that just a light weight base layer keeps you plenty warm. Even in the gnarlest winds and storms nothing penetrates this jacket. For any serious rider, this jacket is a must.

I am 6"1 I have long arms my chest is like a 45-46"

I am 6"1 I have long arms my chest is like a 45-46" but waist 36". What size would I wear? I always have this dilemma w/ jackets XL good in the chest and arms but way too much air from the chest down so its baggy and not warm, L too tight in the chest and too short in the sleeves but prefect from the chest down

Great Jacket, Some Limitations

By:
January 26, 2010

Just worn jacket for 10 days in Japan down to -20C and very happy with the overall performance of the jacket. Fits comfortably like a glove, warm with minimal layering, and moves effortlessly through all ranges of movement without restriction.
Gators and powder skirt brilliant. First powder skirt I have owned that stays close to where you put it on.
Zippers easy grab and open/close with gloves on.
Would certainly recommend to prospective buyers.

Negatives:
- No routing for headphones (see volume control sticking out my jacket in pic)
- Could do with an inside zipper pocket
- Fixed hood not major issue, but would be better if it was removable.

A note on the tech specs given on the BC web page.
- states hood is removable...it is not!!!
- There is only one internal netted goggle pocket. There is no separate closeable ipod pocket, but a button hole for passage of headphone jack out of lower external pocket.

Would I buy it again knowing what I know now?.....in a heartbeat. This is the best jacket I have ever skied in, regardless of negatives.

good jacket, but description is wrong

By:

pros:
1. comfortable, light and warm, keeps me dry no matter what i throw at it
2. zippers work every time
worn in -20F with underarmor and long sleeve and was perfect
3. the fit is amazing, follow the size chart and you will not be disappointed
skirt and hand gators are AWESOMELY constructed and are very utilitarian
4. attached goggles holder/chamois is key
cons:
1. the bladder uses one of the 2 hand warmer pockets which makes the jacket lopsided and bulky.
2. the hood does not come off
3. the retractable lift ticket holder is under the jacket so in order to present it to the attendants, you have to try and grab the retractable holder which is very hard to do with gloves on.
4. only 1 grommet to attach tickets to, so i don't want to attach my gloves to it because i don't want to chance tearing a ticket taking my gloves on and off during lunch, etc.
5. no routing for headphones
