I bought these goggles purely on looks and the fact they were polarized. I was so happy with how they fit with my helmet, and the field of view is outstanding. Well come to find out they are the ladies. Oh well. They feel perfect even on my larger head, and the smaller frame fits great with my Bern Hardhat. I'm not letting my girlfriend know these are ladies or she will take them from me in a heartbeat.
Performance is what i have come to expect from Oakley optics. As the other reviews stated, they never fog. Totally worth the money.
these were soooo awesome up on the mountain! the only issue i had with them was the buckle on the strap, which didnt fit into my helmets goggle strap holder. But I got a new helmet and it works great! These provide no glare on the slopes which really helps, plus they look cool!
My wife uses these goggles for walking and light hiking in the northeast during the winter. They are not used for skiing. In this application they do fog up during certain weather conditions. If there is a strong wind they won't fog. Otherwise, they do. I honestly can't tell the exact weather conditions in which they fog or don't fog. It's sufficiently annoying that we're trying other goggles (Smith I/OS and Smith I/O) which a BC gear expert says do better at not fogging and are even more reliable and better performing than the Smith Phenom goggles with a fan.
I've got these and the anthems. I can't use the anthems with my boele helmet, and I never ride without it. They fog up crazy bad. These haven't fogged up on me even with a helmet/goggle crack full of fresh. Oh, and I will NEVER go back to non-polarized goggles again. It's more than worth the extra ends.
Almost all goggles on the market are double lensed, this one included. Most purveyors of single lensed goggles are cheap off-brand products that you'd probably find in a gas station heading up to the resort.If you're looking at particularly good venting, Smith's goggles with their helmets are designed to work together for no fog. I love these goggles. 4 stars because although it fits a "small-medium" face..they were still a tad bit big on me. If I do not wear them over a beanie, they would slide down my face.
So, I ended up getting these and they do work with my helmet. It's a smaller style boele and the strap is at it's max. My helmet has a snap in goggle holder thingy so it doesn't slip around. I guess the answer to my own question is it really depends on the helmet.
They're helmet compatible. This means that they should work with helmets.Yes, they checked the helmet compatible box. How WELL do they work with a helmet. Specifically- Sometimes with a women's smaller face/goggle and a big ole helmet not having hinges can make the goggles pull at the straps and not sit correctly on your face. Does anyone know if these have hinges I just don't see in the picture or has actually tried them on with a helmet.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Wnated to add my 2 cents as I picked up a pair of these goggles. IMHO these goggles don't work that well with a helmet. There's no hinge and even when the strap is at its loosest it's still pretty tight for me with my helmet. The buckle at the back is problematic as my helmet clip (RED Reya) is meant to hold a strap. There's also no silicon ribbing inside the strap to hold onto the helmet so I find the goggles could easily slip off if I wipe out, etc.
Oakley makes incredible eyewear and this pair of goggles delivers exceptional performance. I purchased these for my sister and she loves them. They never fog on her, are crystal clear, and the Polarized lenes improve depth perception and clarity on the snow. It's so much easier to distinguish the terrain and see all those little bumps and hard packed areas that find yourself catching an edge if you aren't equipped with the proper eye protection. And these goggles are definitely it. They are worth the money and especially from this site because of their return policy which is the greatest on the web. If they break, crack, the strap snaps, anything that malfunctions that shouldn't, they'll take your return and replace you with new ones.
i swore to myself i would never wear anything else on the slopes except my for spy soldiers.... that is until i purchased these babies. they are super comfortable and even i have to admit... oakley makes better lenses than spy. my only complaint would be that i keep snagging my hair on the strap clip.
