Mini air pockets in the Polartec Thermal Pro fleece trap air to retail body heat and enhance the jacket's ability to breathe and dry quickly when wet. As a bonus, the soft, pill-resistant fleece is made from recycled plastic bottles to reduce its carbon footprint. Polartec PowerStretch panels at the elbows and sides ensure the Falketind Warm 1 doesn’t ride up or impede your moves, and they also help this close-fitting jacket layer more easily under a shell.

Great features but too slim

The Norrona Falketind jacket has all the wonderful features it advertises, however it is only cut for very slim people. I even bought one that was two sizes larger and it was still too slim and then had very long sleeves to boot. I really wanted this to work since it is such a great jacket but unfortunately had no choice but to return all sizes ordered.

Disappointing

After having great luck with Norrona's Roidal jacket, which is terrific (but pretty heavy), I was excited about the more lightweight Falketind. Unfortunately though, it was pretty disappointing. First, the cool black color is completely different in person. On the website, it looks like it will be like a black or a bold dark blue. But in reality, it's a very faded grayish/greenish color. Second, the material was incredibly light -- but in more of a cheap way. Didn't feel like I had any protection from anything at all.

Finally, in terms of sizing, I'm tall (about 6'4'') but pretty thin. The Roidal Medium fit me perfectly. But the medium here was way too small.

Favorite Cool Weather Fleece

Great for 40-65 F degrees. I find myself wearing this everywhere. I caught a mother that was with her son checking me out. My grandma pointed that out. Love this fleece.

Superb jacket - well designed

Love this jacket. Will serve great as a mid layer, great looking. I am 5'10", 187pounds, 43 inch chest, 34/36 inch waist. I bought an xl, and it was too loose. Sent it back. Backcountry does not have any more, so I am getting my cousin in Norway to send me one in size large. It is similar to the Patagonia R2, only a lighter weight and less bulky. I also ordered a trollvegen warm2 in xl. Kept that one, it is a more athletic fit, so I find the fit snug around my chest. The falketind is a nice jacket, great detail, great build quality, don't hesitate, you will love it.

Great lightweight fleece.

Very nice jacket with a good warmth to weight ratio. I use this jacket as a midlayer in the summer or as an extra layer in the winter when hiking. Its also a nice walk around the city jacket.
I usually use Medium but i find that norrøna runs a bit big so i bought the small and it fits perfect.
