Mountain Hardwear offers a unique combination of comfort and protection in the Men's Mountain Tech Pant. The soft fleece is actually AirSheild fleece, which features a thin membrane that offers 100% wind protection, as well as water-resistance, without compromising breathability. Reinforcement panels of Deflection softshell at the seat and articulated knees add extra protection and durability where than pants (and you) need it most.

Not the most stylish pants... Fit kind of funny actually, but they are super warm and super comfortable. So far I've only worn them around town in 20 degree weather, and they are toasty (w/out a base layer).

i believe this is the same one i got off of moosejaw, its one of mountain hardwears newer designs, but i have some misgivings. the quality is excellent and im sure they would function extremely well, but i didn't realize they were full length zips, which i had not anticipated in a softshell. it just makes it feel too stiff for my liking, like there's some resistance or something. if you want full side zips they'd be great, reinforced seat and knees etc. i may exchange and go with the patagonia alpine, or maybe one of MHs other models.
