This fleece is awesome. The fit runs a little large and boxy, I would say. I am 5'6 ~160 and ordered a large - it's a little baggy on its own, but i can put a hoodie or sweater under it no problem. The sleeves are plenty long and the thumb holes beat the heck out of the Columbia I was replacing with this. It's good to note that this isn't fuzzy wooly fleece, it's furry fleece. I love it and everyone around me generally feels the need to "pet" me in my softness. I also LOVE that the pockets are up higher, makes a huge difference when wearing a pack or climbing harness. My only disappointment is that the Polartec fleece on the cuffs pilled up a bit the first time I belayed in it, but that was my fault for having the cuffs down and using the thumb holes. The fitted hood is also very nice. Overall, it is incredibly warm (though NOT wind resistant) and doesn't restrict my activity. I wish the fit was a little more snug, but that could probably have been solved with a smaller size. Great fleece and can't beat the steal of a price on here.
This jacket is great. I am about 5'9, 125 and ordered a medium. I'm pretty happy with the fit, a little extra space around the mid section, but the sleeves are a great length. So soft and cozy. If you have had other monkey jackets from this brand, this one is just as great-for about 1/2 the price!
This jacket is not as nice as the picture. It looks and feels like a bath rob not a jacket. Once you have it on, makes you feel like you are a stuffed animal with this jacket.
Thomas. This jacket is warm. Especially when layered underneath a shell or softshell. It is not very windproof however. So, it will feel the warmest when layered or worn on a mellow weather day! I hope this info helps!
This jacket keeps me so warm. I am almost always cold, but the monkey fur works wonders for me. It is a great insulating layer for hiking and around town. I am 5'4" and 110, and an XS fits perfectly. Great product.
I loved this jacket when I tried it on at Sierra Trading Post for $106. Didn't want to spend that much money so when I got home I looked on line and found it at Department of Goods. I ordered it for $49.49!on 9/21 and it arrived 9/23! You can't get better service or price.
Jacket is very soft; fits me great and very stylish. I know it is last year's model but who cares! Great jacket; great buy.
Bought this for my 18 year old daughter. Was a little concerned because of some of the comments left but it is great! She loves it and it fits well...perfect Christmas present!
I love this "jacket" because I can wear it as a sweater around the house or out. Functional piece that is warm and flexible. I have worn it for a winter run and with jeans when going out. I am 5'2" and purchased the small - wish it was a tad shorter, but am still very happy with the fit.
Not nearly as nice looking as on this picture. The shape is so weird and not fitted at all. I am 6'0" girl and very athletic (not too skinny) and usually have to go with XL (when buyingTNF, Norrona, Arc'teryx, Marmot..) because of my shoulders and especially my arm length, my torso is also long. So I bought this jacket in XL, too. It turns out, it fits my mother, who wears XXL or XXXL. It's very wide in the shoulders (even for me), arm length is barely ok, but it is so wide in the torso area, and in the neck area, too. The hoodie is way too big (for some giant-head maybe) - not practical at all. it is ridiculous and it just looks awful overall. If I go buy a Large or even Medium, the arm length is going to be a problem and length of the jacket, too. I am returning it immediately!!! The only nice thing about it is the material. It is really super soft and comfortable, but that's it.
