You didn't know if you'd survive being trapped underground for this long. The air is dirty, musky, and toxic. You have found leftover scraps of old food to survive on, and the only things to drink are stale juice boxes. If only someone would send a rescue capsule to save you, or at least a rescue pizza to save you. If help doesn't come soon, you're going to die down here, but at least your desiccated corpse will look well-dressed in the fashion forward straight-legged Matix Men's Miner Denim Pants.
Bottom Line:
Maybe it's time for you to get off your ass and out of your parents' basement.
Got a pair on Whiskey Militia. I was so excited when they came (2 whole days after my order was placed - awesome in and of itself) that I ripped off my pants in my kitchen and tried em on. I loved them so much I kept them on instead of putting back on my regular pants, which are now no longer my regular pants. Now they're my "Not-As-Good-As-The-Matix-Miner" pants. They fit true to size, I think: I'm 5' 10", 155 lbs, and the 31' is the cat's pajamas! I only bought one pair since I was nervous about buying pants online, but now I know the error of my ways. Next time they come 'round, I'll buy a pair for every day of the week. Or 2 for each day, since no sooner than I put on these glorious trousers do I make a mess in them because they're so damn comfortable. And oh how they stretch! They look way sexy, and they're comfortable, and they're stretchy enough to show off your moves to all the lady gymnasts. Did I mention how sexy they are?
I picked up a pair of these on Whiskey Militia and they're great. The shoelace belt is pretty alright and helps prevent too much sag. I got a 34 thinking they would be super skinny (i usually wear a 32 or 33) but theyre actually a little loose. Great buy-i'm satisfied.
Alright.. to all the people complaining about them being "skinny hipster jeans".
READ! Do some research. Know your body.
I wear a 32 in Levi 501's and that is a perfect straight leg fit, but most of my pants being 4 or 5 years old they are more for urban exploring and painting then when you are trying to look at least some what presentable.
I got a pair of these in 32 and they were a little too snug on my thighs and I knew they would only get worse with washing.
Easy fix! Size up to 34 (I could have went with 33 probably) and they are nice a loose without falling down my butt.
Quit whining and do your research. Not every product is going to be made and designed for JUST YOU.
The best part of retail is that you can ALWAYS return something. So there is really no loss.
Thanks to dogfunk for the easy exchange and to Whiskey Militia for the great $19.99 price tag. Clothes are usually the last of my concern in today's economy so its nice to be able to get yourself something decent at a good price.
Got these Jeans on a free ship weekend on whiskeymilitia for 19.99. So right there that is Awesome!! The Jeans showed up quick, and out the bag they fit a little big, These are definitely not skinny Jeans. I am 6'1 195, maybe have some bird legs, but these seem perfect as regular fit. As per another review, i hope the jeans shrink just a little bit. So if you don't want tights for jeans and aren't trying to be baggy saggy, These seem the perfect fit. And for the sale price or the whiskey price, how can you lose! My only regret is not grabbing a couple other colors when i saw them on the militia!!
Just bought the Wax Gray and they are now my favorite colorway. I only wear Miners and the fit is just right. They are stiff at first but after wearing them a couple of times they break in nicely. Get some now!
I am using all designs (wax gray, dusty coal, blue light, etc) and the materials are very highly quality, but legs are too loose for my. Actually aren't fit well...
The wax version of these jeans are pretty stiff, but once broken in they are comfortable. I feel like the reason they are cheap is because of minor defects. My button fly buttons are not completely aligned, but getitng a pair of pants for $20ish, why not?
Bought the wax gray pants and love these. These are the skinniest jeans I own, but are by no means skinny jeans. Super comfortable fit, awesome finish, great price. I'm 5' 6" and about 155 and generally wear somewhere around a 31. Got the 30 in these based on the other reviews and they fit perfect. Wish they had more colors available in my size!
Love em. Unfortunately I got used to the Analog Dylan jeans before these and got used to the stretch that spandex provides...but these are great. Solid fit, and its raw denim so it will wear into something perfect for you after a few months.
Edit - they're not all raw denim. Just the ones that saw raw are...the rest are either a slight spandex blend or 100% cotton.
Would just kill for a spandex blend of these, but I'm very happy with them.
Okay my boyfriend is 5'10 and 170lbs what size you guys would
Okay my boyfriend is 5'10 and 170lbs what size you guys would recommend. The last two jeans got for him were Levis 514 and 501's and they were 36 on the waist and 32 or 34 length.
I bought a couple pairs of these for my guy who is about 6' 170lb(?). They are a slimmer fit but def not skinny. They hug the bum just enough to show it off :) Love the look, the fit, all of it. And they are his new favorite jeans now! He says they're very comfortable and he too likes the look. Good all around! I definitely recommend these pants, especially for the price found on w.m. - doesn't get better than that. BUT if you get these - beware of stares and butt grabs. Yeah. Your butt will look that good.
It's a given that if a pair of pants comes with a shoelace belt, the comfort level soars into the upper levels of relaxing bliss. Comfortable, loose fit, and durable, any pair of Matix pants guarantees satisfaction. Hell, why not use em for pajama pants?
I've been rocking Matix since I got my first pair of relaxed fit Triumphs back in 2004. My GF urged me to try the Miners since they were the next "more fitted" fit and they are perfect-loose enough that you don't look like a girl but not baggy enough that you look like a Canadian ledge wigger. Just regular-fit man jeans and now that they've added the 1% spandex they are even better for skating. I'm up to about 7 pairs of Miners. Buy with confidence, worth every penny.
I really like the jeans, they fit great (not so skinny), however they stink like vinegar. I thought the smell would go away after a couple of washes, but after about 3 months of owning them, not the case. In fact, this seems to be the problem with both pairs of dark colored denim I've purchased from dogfunk. Be aware, if this happens to you, don't be optimistic and think the smell will fade cause it doesn't.
What size should i get for the Twil black?
im regularly a 30,
What size should i get for the Twil black? im regularly a 30, do these fit like a 30 or 32? since im seeing people say some of these jeans feel like a bigger size?
I was a little wary of these as I am not a fan of the slim jeans at all. When they showed up on WM for $16.99 I thought why not give them a shot, and I'm glad I did. These are straight leg, far from the skinny chick jeans I see kids wearing around town not realizing that everyone else is laughing at them because that trend is the worst thing that has ever happened to jeans....even worse than the blown-out JNCO phase of the 90's which I am happy to say I was a pround participant of.
Anyway, these jeans are a great medium between jeans that are baggy enough to drag under your shoes, and skinny jeans that kids look pround to be a douche in. My only problem is the waist does fit a little big out of the bag. I usually wear a 32 waist and these feel like they could almost pass for a 34. After one wash it is a little better, but I might try washing them in hot water and drying them on high heat.
These pants are great and super durable. I own four pairs of the Miner's in different colors and I've noticed that each pair fits a little differently. Some are a little more slim than others. I'm 5'10'' and 180 lb and the 34's fit great
Most washes in the miner have stretch. fit is legit. Not skinny like the gripper, but not blown out big like the triumph. The stretch makes these perfect for skating all day in. I have 6 pairs of these. The go to denim in my closet for sure!
All of Matix's measurements are based on a size 32 waist and scales up and down from there. The leg opening varies by fit, so it is a little tricky to calculate for each one. The main thing to remember is that the Miner is a classic straight fit jean. Meaning the width at the knee and the width at the leg opening are the same. Hope this helps.
I am a 33 inch waist, fits perfect at the waist for the first few drier shrinkages. However, these are VERY tight in the thighs. I have chicken legs with an above average muscular upper body (5'9" 180lbs). I keep my lower half less extreme and do very low weight exercises to keep endurance up for hiking and snowboarding. SO if you can squat around 135, these pants will be VERY snug in the thighs. If you are naturally skinny, and are below average in activity, and like the straight leg look (below the knees) these pants should do the job just fine.
The drawstring looks silly, but it isn't sewn on so you can remove it.
Ill try one pair and wear it out and around and come back in a month or 2 about stretching/wear and tear of the pants. And if its negative, I'm returning the other pairs for sure.
I recently reviewed these and said they were way too big. BUT i washed them and they tightened up and fit great now. Never had a pair of jeans that stretched and they are sooo comf
loved the jeans, but they were waaay too big. all my other jeans are 34, so I got the matrix in 34 too. wrong...they feel like size 36+. too bad they dont have my size cause they are great looking and all that jazz.
These jeans are sick. Super comfy, great fit (slightly on the slimmer side of "regular"), clean looks. I thought they ran a little big at first, but after one wash, they're perfect. I'm particularly a fan of the shoestring belt thats incorporated into the jeans. You can take it out if you want and use a normal belt, or just tie it up for a more comfortable jean suspension.
The Matix Miners are my favorite jeans! I have a few pair and although the colors are difficult to tell online, they all rock. Perfect fit and extremely comfortable!
I just got a pair of Matix Miner's from Whiskey last week, and I am blown away by how comfortable they are and how great they look. Several of my pals noticed them too, with compliments on the color and the cut.
I was nervous because I'm about 6'4", 185-190 lb, so mail-order pants rarely fit. I chose 34" and they fit great.
Matix makes the best stretch denim, since my first pair of matixs, I have decided I don't need to try anything else. Got a pair in skrilla stretch, and their great for work, biking, skating, or just loungin'.
Definitely worth buying... I wasn't sure about the button fly but after wearing them a couple times I like it more than zip up fly... these jeans are legit and extremely comfortable.
they're super comfortable and very stylish. The colours though differ from those on the websiste. I've order poor boy colour and it was much darker than the ones on the pictures but still i like them :P
I got the Dizzark, they look black in the photo but after just one wash they've faded to a dark blue with light blue streaks.... Extra whack since they fit so nicely and are otherwise some of the best pants I've ever owned.
I'm wearing the Dizzark right now. I've got the Poor Boy and the MJ stretch, and I just ordered the Skrilla Stretch from Whiskey for $28 10 days shipping- I'll get it in less than 4 days. They bomb.
I LOVE THIS SHIT. Matix holds it down. Best jeans for skate or casual. Get Matix stretch and dial that stair set- since you can finally move your legs.
Stumbled across these somewhere else and got em for like 40. They were second pair of Matix jeans and knew they'd be a banger choice. This is the third pair now, and F yes, it's deals on Whiskey that help me find my new favorite jean- the Miner. Keep that shit up.
matix miner...... these are the best and i mean THE BEST jeans out there. and thhe arent that much money. thay fit perfectly and are super comfortable. it it is defenately worth the buy
These jeans are the shit. I bought the black stretch denim. The Miners have a great slimmer cut and a low rise. If you're in need of some quality denim, scope out the Miner.
