Marmot Reyna Softshell Jacket - Women's - 2008

Marmot Reyna Softshell Jacket - Women's - 2008 BCS

Item # MAR1192

Ultra-breathable, water-resistant Polartec Windbloc fabric makes the Marmot Women’s Reyna Softshell Jacket a great choice for highly aerobic days in nasty weather. Angel-Wind Movement lets you send pitch after pitch of steep rock and ice without exposing your waist every time you lift your arms over your head. Marmot included pitzips to help you stay cool while breaking trail in thick thigh-deep snow.

Bottom Line:

Made for moving fast through the mountains.

Deceiving images, but nice jacket overall...

I ordered one in Saxony Blue and I just want to say that the picture is very deceiving. The blue on top part was shown darker than the bottom part on picture, where in fact it is the opposite. Luckily, I like it like that. It is a good quality jacket for the price and it fits nicely. I am 5'11" got it in XL. Sleeves are just long enough, which is hard to find these days, where tall people are discriminated against. I wouldn't mind if the jacket was just a litlle longer, but it's fine like this too. It's a keeper!

This jacket is perfect in every way. if you have lot of layers, just unzip the underarm. Jacket will give you more room. Just wear over anything and you'll look fabulous.

The hood is not detachable and it doesn't have anywhere to store it on the jacket.

Nice fit

Fits very well. I am 5'5 and 115lb and ordered a small. Plenty room to wear over my XS Denali fleece. Sleeves are nice and long. Torso is a bit short. Overall a great jacket.

not windproof

Loved the fit. I'm petite and thin and the women's S fit great. Great color as well. Pretty good in wet conditions, too (though I was never caught in a downpour while wearing it). Definitely not windproof, though it claims to be. Would not suggest it if you're looking to be warm only in this jacket. Definitely need a fleece under it.

it is soft....like really thin fleece. I ordered the small because I am a 4-6 usually but it was super short in the front and the arms (i have a bit of a long torso but still, it was very short) it was also a little lighter weight than I was expecting. I am reordering a size large because the small was soooo small...just some food for thought! It is on sale right now, though!

short

By:
January 26, 2009

i ordered this jacket online and i'm really disappointed - the arm length is right and the shoulder width generous, but the front of the body is way too short and the hood, which has a bit of a "vizor", is fairly useless as it barely covers my hair.
i usually wear a size extra small, and i am not particularly tall (5'5") but this is made for someone less than 5 ft tall!
i ordered this from canada, as an exchange for a previous marmot jacket that i had trouble with. i was told that i cannot exchange it again, so i guess i will be selling it on ebay or something, at a loss.

Great Jacket

I purchased the jacket for my daughter. She loves it. It is pretty warm for a light weight jacket - She wears it for all of her outdoor activities.
