Jacket is very warm for weight. Medium fit my 5'10", 170 lb. frame well but the 1/2 zip is TIGHT at the waist/bottom, making it a pain to get off over your head. Stitching where the stretchy material met the puffy material at the hem was frayed when it arrived, more so after wearing a few times and wrestling it over my head.

Anybody have clo/oz values for Thermal R Eco? How does it compare to Primaloft One and Primaloft Eco?

I was able to find a Taiwanese site that puts it between .55 and .8 clo. I also found another Backcountry.com comment that says Thermal R has a higher clo than Primaloft Sport.

Good but not great

I own two of these and overall this is a solid piece- very warm, good athletic fit, lightweight, packable and fairly versatile. A few fine points prevent it from receiving the final star. First, Marmot need to decide if this is a stand-alone or layering piece. It's not quite wind-resistant enough to be a stand alone but it's too puffy to layer easily. The stretch material side vents allows in too much wind for my tastes and the material itself is rather flimsy. Also there are some quality control issues with seams fraying on one of the jackets before I'd ever worn it. By comparison I own the Arcteryx Atom pullover and it is a full 5 Star piece. However, it's not offered in as many colors and it's not quite as warm as the Marmot. I love pullovers and am glad to see a few gear makers finally offer some. If Marmot corrects a few shortcomings this will be a five star piece.
