Mammut All-Year 3/4 Pant - Men's

Item # MAM0591

The Mammut Men’s All-Year ¾ Pant gives you four-season moisture management for everything from backpacking to backcountry skiing. The ¾-length doesn’t bunch up under ski boots or heavy socks, and the body-mapped blend of merino wool and polyester insulates and fights odors on longer expeditions.

Bottom Line:

A functional four-season bottom for any pursuit.

Scratchy

By:
January 28, 2012

I bought these to avoid having the underwear/ski sock overlap under the tongue of my ski boot. I found the material around the thighs to be scratchy and a bit tight. The cut was such that the material just below the waist in the back was a little loose with some "gather" folds while standing. When pulled on over "over-the-calf" ski socks, the ends of the legs crept to the top and off the socks. I was surprised by these shortcomings as Swiss products are usually of the best quality.

Feel like they are falling down

By:
January 10, 2012

I got a pair of these because I never could figure out what to do with my long underwear and socks when I put my ski boots on. When I tried them on the fit was a bit strange, it felt like something was falling down, either by boxers or the long underwear. I called to ask about returning them and the lady I talked to at BC talked me into at least trying them before I sent them back, she said if I really did not like them I could return them, maybe just a ploy to get me to try them and then not take them back, however, I have skinned up Mt. Hood 3 times since I bought them and they do work well, about the right anount of warmth for a 20-30 degree day, no "bunching" at the ankle and they have not fallen off yet. I would get another pair.

So I have now used these things all last season and into this season, I have gooten used to the "falling off" feeling. yes I suppose there is a bit of a "sag" right at the back of the underwear, I have not noticed it while skinning/skiing. The "knee" portion does not fit tight around the knee/calf but I think if it did it would "creep" up while skinning. I have had no issues with them and am looking for a second pair.
