Founded on the desire to build a light that could illuminate a reef 200 feet below the ocean's surface, Light & Motion then took its success and know-how and applied it to bike lights. While riding the mountain trails and roads around Light & Motion's home base in Monterey, California, employees conduct R&D. Among other innovations, Light & Motion pioneered HID bicycle lights, introduced the battery strap, and developed a breakaway mount. Light & Motion lives and breathes bulbs, rechargeable batteries, lumens, and all things lamp-related so you can see well during your 24-hour trail races, pre-dawn cycling commutes, and recreational bike rides.
