Lafuma Trek 1300LD Sleeping Bag: 30 Degree Synthetic - Women's - 2010 BCS

Item # LAF0287

The women’s specific Lafuma Trek 1300LD 30 Degree Sleeping Bag uses synthetic down insulation to keep you warm even if it gets a little wet out there. Real down insulation loses its heat retention when it gets wet, and while you’re not planning on sleeping in the rain, you never know what could happen. Lafuma designers incorporated a draft tube behind the full-length zipper to make sure cold air doesn’t sneak through when you’re zipped in for the night. A tapered cut won’t restrict you, an extra layer of insulation across the chest will add some strategic warmth, and polar wool in the footbox won’t let your feet freeze. Snuggle into the contoured hood so the thermal shoulder collar can warm your head and neck while you enjoy the beautiful nighttime sky in luxury.

Bottom Line:

Camping doesn’t have to be painful.

My main use for purchasing a sleeping bag would be to use during backpacking trips, so I'm looking for a bag that is relatively light. I didn't see any weight description on this page, does anyone know how light it is? I'm small so finding a bag that is lighter in weight is important to me.

Not so small

I bought this bag for my girlfriend, she is about 5'7 and her head is really pushed up inside the hood area. The bag discription says the max user hieght is 5'8. I think that someone who is 5'8 would be pretty snug. Also, and more importantly, the discription on DoG says it packs down to 5x11. I dont see how it can do that. The smallest i could get it was probably more like 8x13... not a huge difference but it is a little decieving. Other than those two discrepancies, the bag seems great. high quality, and the foot liner is nice. im sure she is going to like it.
