La Sportiva Quantum Trail Running Shoe - Women's
All you need to know about the La Sportiva Women's Quantum Trail Running Shoe is that it turns brutally rough trails buttery smooth thanks to ample cushioning and a responsive, glove-like fit. This trail shoe not only protects your feet but provides powerful rebound energy with every step. A scree guard keeps gravel from filling your socks, a heel counter locks your heel in place when you need to dodge through rock gardens, and the mesh uppers battle the scorching heat of summer so you stay cool.
- La Sportiva's MorphoDynamic construction uses soft synthetic materials to absorb the impact of the terrain under your foot, providing cushioning for comfort and powerful forward spring that adds speed to each stride
- Four-way stretch allows the scree guard and the breathable upper to flex so your feet won't feel constricted or cramped
- Sticky FriXion AT sole material provides steadfast traction on loose gravel, hard packed trails, and slick foot bridges

Based on the reviews I ordered a 1/2 size smaller than I normally wear. Huge mistake! I could hardly get them on my feet. I think my normal size would have been just fine.

I just completed the tough mudder in VT and these shoes were amazing for this. They kept my feet warm, never slipped and stayed firmly on my foot through all the mudder. I love these shoes!!!

Love these trail running shoes. Very comfortable. The hard toe helps if you hit a rock. They aren't slip resistant on gravel but what shoes really is. You do have to go up a full size.
Gotta love the Quantum trail.

I got a pair of these shoes last year and have loved them. As a member of the Wasatch Speed Goat Mountain Racing Team, I need a trail shoe that will get me through a 100 mile race. These shoes are light, super stable, and low profile. I love the color and it hides the dirt and dust well. I recommend these shoes to the long distance trail runner who wants protection and comfort.

Great overall shoe, lots of cushion but light and fast. Agree with other reviewers, this is indeed a snug fit but natural. Suggest ordering half size up if wearing thicker socks. Often I wear these without socks and have no issues. A very thin, liner type sock for longer distances is recommended. To summarize, Hoka-like cushion with minimalist type feel. Best of both worlds. If conditions are muddy and wet, or snow-filled (think Utah Spring 2011) then I would pick the Crosslite 2.0 over this shoe, otherwise, I would go with this one for a long rocky race or short distances too.
Fit and ride are top-notch

I love the way these fit - low to the ground, super stable, really nimble and agile in rocks, rough terrain. They are a little soft on the bottom so I'd be careful with pointy rocks and the like. Durability is a bit of a factor - I've had them a month and the bottom cracked on one of the "waves" and is now peeling off, but LaSportiva will warranty them.

I love the shoes, very comfortable. Snug fit, They run pretty small. I had to return my first pair and order one a size bigger.
