Very happy

Ok, so this is the first bike I've owned where I've gotten compliments on it in my local bike shop. The bike comes almost fully assembled - I was able to assemble it myself and only took it to the local bike shop for a tune-up (which it may not have even needed). On the trail... my review is similar to the other one posted. My old bike was heavy, the shocks weren't great, etc. You really can't compare the two bikes. This bike is light, the shocks are great, and I'm amazed at what I can ride over now! REALLY happy with my purchase. As always, Backcountry has excellent customer service. I couldn't be happier!

Apples and Oranges

There is absolutely no way to compare my old bike to the Hei Hei Lisa (hence the title), so I can't go that route. I'm a thrifty New Englander at heart that has been scandalized by the escalating price of a decent bike these days, but I finally had had enough of dragging my crappy bike up and down the local trails. When I spotted this price (under the magic $2000) I went for it -- soooooo happy I did! This bike is light, nimble, and super-fun. I don't know a whole lot about bikes, but I asked people who do and they said that the bike looked great, and the components looked really good for the price. It arrives semi-assembled, but my husband and I had no problem putting it together in an hour, although we did take it to a local bike shop for the last 5% and a final tweak. I've been out a couple of times with it and can't believe what a difference a good bike makes. I get it now!
