Jett Gear Raptor Short - Men's

These are the best Jett shorts I've tried, edging out the Hornet and clearly beating the Lightning. Jett makes quality stuff with a lot of features. One feature I like that lower end shorts don't have is the dual button fly. The fabric used on these is a very soft polyester microfiber while the Hornet is 100% cotton with more pockets and the Lightning is 50% polyester/50% nylon (worst one of the bunch and ugly, in my opinion). The inside is very slick, not using any additional lining fabric. There are 4 mesh lined pockets--2 front open slash and 2 zipped pockets that double as vents, with one having a fleece wipe attached to the pocket with a bungee string. They are comfortable and have a contoured cut. They fit a bit loose, but have a built in belt.

There's a removable inner spandex short with a chamois that's really cheap feeling. The chamois fits oddly with half of it in front of your crotch and the other half just barely covering your sit bones. The liner is held in by 2 loops which can make it a pain to get on while installed and a hassle to remove to wash. If you leave it in, it gets twisted up, which probably wouldn't happen if they used 3 or 4 loops. I just permanently removed mine, since I have enough miles and endurance to not get saddle sore any more--you'd get saddle sore even with a chamois and good saddle when starting out and doing long miles.

My favorite remains the Royal Stealth, but they are more expensive even without a removable liner+chamois. That and I have a slick matching jersey.

I can't say enough about these shorts... saw'em on a review in bike mag.com, so decided to give them a shot. stoked! you won't be let down! most lightweight, breathable and durable short i have yet to wear...

These shorts are incredible. They absolutely beat the snot out of the Oakley shorts I had before. They fit like they were tailored for me, and they are so comfortable I could wear them around the house all day. The chamois inside is great too, it feels more natural when you are walking around (very little "diaper" feel), but provides all-day-ride comfort even on aggressive saddles. There are pockets everywhere, and generous crotch vents. I am definitely getting a backup pair.

Great material, great venting, great chamois. Some have complained about the tight thigh cuffs on the liners, but they help to keep them from riding up.

I've owned Nema, Craft baggies, Oakley, Swobo, and Fox. These are the best. Soft, QUIET, outer shell, unlike the Swobo's. Elastic chamois keeps the stuff happy on the 6 hour slogs. Lots of ventilation, in all the right spots (i.e. by your stuff). Well thought out pockets. The shorts even have belt loops, along with the velcro cinch straps. They are even true to size. And like a baggy should be, they are baggy (but not too much so) and long enough to touch knee pads.

I'd buy more if I had the $$$

I have tried many baggy mt bike shorts. These are among the best. These shorts have a lot of features you wouldn't expect to work so well. The vents are sweet, the glass wipe thingy is useful. The light weight material is comfy and the liner is pretty good too.

By far the best shorts i have ever owned!
