Hincapie Sportswear Torino Jersey - Short-Sleeve - Men's
Years from now we're going to look at cycling apparel and wonder how we got to the end of long training rides with any skin intact after suffering with sewn seams. The Hincapie Torino Short Sleeve Jersey uses welded seams to eliminate sewn ones that can chafe your skin like sandpaper on balsa wood. The cut is tapered and athletic, definitely a cut that leans toward pro-fit, though not as aggressively as some jerseys.
The Torino Jersey is cut from Hincapie Aerator fabric, a super-soft and breathable fabric ideal for rides on hot days. While it offers enough elasticity to give you free movement on the bike, it's not so stretchy that the back of the jersey sags when you fill the pockets. The double weave of the material pulls moisture off of your body and to the outside of the fabric to keep you cool and dry. And despite its light weight, it offers a 30+ SPF for UVA and UVB protection. Hincapie VenTek mesh panels increase stretch and breathability in the around the arms and sides. The panels are laser-cut to keep them from fraying, and this high tech process is what makes the welded-seam construction possible.
Three back pockets give great carrying capacity while a fourth, zippered pocket gives you a place to securely store important things like your ID or keys. Reflective accents grace the back pockets to keep you visible in low-light conditions.
The Hincapie Torino Short Sleeve Jersey comes in three colors -- Fire, Navy, and White. It's available in five sizes from Small through XX-Large.
- Quick-drying Aerator double weave fabric wicks moisture away from the skin and features a slight stretch for a comfortable feel
- VenTek stretch mesh panels enhance freedom of movement and help circulate air
- SPF 30-rated fabric protects your skin against the sun's harsh rays
- Welded seams provide chafe-free comfort during your long rides
- Three rear pockets keep your energy gel, phone, and house key on lockdown
- Reflective treatment helps keep you visible during night rides

Nice until it comes apart

I really liked this jersey for the first month or so. Then the seams started coming apart.

dont buy this jersey- youll end up having to return it because the sleeve panel rips apart from the jersey. ive bought 3 of these jerseys and every one of them has done the same thing. what a waste of money!!!
If the jersey fits...

Hincapie makes top shelf products with innovative improvements and products that last a long time. One of the innovations in this jersey is the laser cut edges and gripping finish. While the edges are very flat and grippy, they are not very elastic.
The fit on this jersey is a club fit so it is meant for those with a fuller build. I normally wear a Large size in the Hincapie race cut. I tried the large and medium in this jersey and had a hard time getting a good fit. Apparently, I am in between sizes in the club range.
Because of the inelasticity of the cuffs and waist in this jersey, I could not get a jersey with a good fit. The large version was too loose and would have flapped in the wind, and the medium version (in white anyway) made me look like the Michelin Man (even though the body was very comfortable) when the cuffs and waist didnt stretch.
I was disappointed that the jersey didnt fit because there few Hincapie jerseys available in white.
Overall, the jersey seems to be of very high quality but if it doesnt fit you perfectly; you probably wont like it.

Fit is slim but not too tight (even for a "fat dentist" rider... XXL for 6'2" at 225). This is my favorite Hincapie jersey - especially in white. Comfy and cool for summer rides. 4 stars instead of 5 because the glued seams came apart after the 3rd ride. But RC is replacing without any problems.
