Giro Saros Helmet - Women's - 2009 BCS
The Women’s Saros Helmet features Giro’s Wind Tunnel ventilation system to ensure plenty of airflow on hot summer days. You also get a Roc Loc 4 fit system to keep this Giro helmet from moving around while you spend the day pedaling. This everyday helmet provides the ideal blend between a super teched-out race helmet and a budget model to give you plenty of comfort without making you go broke.

The Giro Saros was a big upgrade from my entry-level Giro Skyla which came in only one size. The fit on this helmet is much better, and the venting is far superior. The Saros is also much lighter weight. The ratcheting Roc Loc 4 system is comfortable and works well. The one funny thing I notice is the straps from coming from the back of the helmet tend to come forward over my ears when I put the helmet on, but I just have to pull them back into place before a buckle the chin strap. On Department of Goods this is a nice higher end helmet at a great price.
this ain't calculus
October 7, 2009
I had a professor in high school who always drew pictures to help explain calculus problem and in those blackboard drawings the stick figure was always wearing a bike helmet. (This was before it was "cool to protect your head" and helmet laws were non-existent). The helmets were always about twice the size of the chalk-head... If he had been drawing the Giro Saros, this wouldn't have been the case. This helmet is streamline and fitted; its sleek and lightweight. Sizing is comparable/normal to a baseball cap, and the color scheme is feminine without being overly girly... Maybe I'll go back and revolutionize his class--or maybe he's retired his chalk.
Super good GIRO VIDEO info:
