How true to size does this run?
I wear an 8 1/2 normally for everyday casual shoes - a narrow heel and wider ball of the foot. My sneakers are generally a 9 - 9 1/2 for walking running room.
What size is recommended for this brand?

I purchased a full size above my casual shoe size. Fits perfectly allowing for the increase in foot size after a long day of backpacking. They are wide in the toe box but fit snugly in the heel. Super comfortable. No hot spots after the first ten mile day.
Just a note... If you happen to get your feet wet - creek too deep our rain soaking your pants legs - these take forever to dry.
