Why spend a truckload of money on technical features you don't need? The Foursquare Men's Fabian Snowboard Jacket keeps the snow out and looks damn good doing it. Light 5K waterproofing, critically sealed seams, and a powder skirt all work hard to keep you the snow on the outside of your jacket (the more on the ground the better). A breathable membrane allows vapor to escape, so you stay as fresh as the Prince of Bellaire while you work your way around and down the mountain, through the park, or through the streets. The Fabian Jacket's standard fit and clean silhouette mean it can make the rounds from the slopes to snowy treks across campus.
Bottom Line:
Keep it simple and stylish in the Foursquare Fabian Jacket.
This jacket is not insulated. It is just a shell. To keep yourself warm you should wear good, warm layering pieces. Don't count on this jacket as the only layer to keep you super warm. It is a great shell and jacket. For $55 it is a crazy deal.
I bought the fall leaves, and yea like everybody says the jackets do run kinda long. I'm 5'6'' and 145 lbs and the small was a little long on me, but it wasn't too bad, it made me look cool with the whole "baggy clothes" look. This jacket is EXTREMELY noticeable, which is kind of cool because you will always get compliments, and if you ever get split off from your friends, this jacket is really easy to spot. You might laugh about it at first, but it is pretty useful. Tons of pockets and has brackets for your ipod earbuds. I ride in socal spots like Bigbear and mthigh and I have never gotten my clothes wet, even when it was snowing/raining. It doesn't get too hot and it's perfect for snowboarding in california conditions. Highly recommend it!
i want to know how this jacket will fit, i have an analog echo
i want to know how this jacket will fit, i have an analog echo jacket, its wayyyyyy to big its a medium. i am 6' 156 lbs. with about a 36" chest. will the small be to big? i want it smaller than the analog echo thanks
I actually have the Coco which is the insulated version of the Fabian but DF doesnt sell the Coco. First of all these run HUGE. I'm 6'0 140 and I usually wear M in slim fit stuff but I had to go with an XS in this jacket, not sure if the softshell is much different but I doubt it. Anyway this jacket is wayyy brighter than in the stock pictures. The Coco is bright and toasty.Heres a pic so you guys can see how bright this jacket really is.
It's not as shinny as the pictures shows, which makes the actual color amazing. It does run a little bigger than normal. I'm 5'5", 145, and the small is a little bit long.
It is dry if you live in a dry climate. The 5K is the low end of water proofing. In Utah this jacket will kill it, totally work. It washington area, not so much. No it is not really really dry. Look at the Ruff jacket. it is 25K
speachless this jacket is so sick. been riding 3-4 times a week with this in blue bird skies and in storms holds up really good. not to heavy and perfect fit.
Im 6'5" and around 260 so i felt im a XXL and thats
Im 6'5" and around 260 so i felt im a XXL and thats what i ordered every one seems to think they fit a little big though so should i have gone with the XL? i guess ill find out today when it comes
XL: 42"44" (106112cm) XXL: 44"46" (112117cm) Take a look at these number to get an idea on how you'll fit the jacket. The do fit a little baggy, but its not that bad, it sounds like you are a pretty big guy though, you might be fine with the XXL. Let us know how it goes.
my friend bought this jacket and the second that he got it he was in love with it! he has had it for 2 years and hes hopeing he will have it for another 2! its comfterable warm styleish and a hell of a deal!!! defiantly get 1!!!!!!
I would suggest you go for the medium. I feel the small would be too small for your arms, unless you have short arms then you could got with a small. If you are really worried about the bagginess, take a look at the Doug jacket.
Whether or not the shell features a separate internal liner which a fleece liner can be zipped into. With Foursquare jackets, if it was zip-in compatible, it would come with the liner, leaving out any guess work as to which one to purchase. Proper layering however, eliminates the need to have a jacket that's zip-in compatible.
It is soft. We returned it because I wanted a more insulated jacket for my son. My older son saw it and wanted it bad. Only he is 6 2 and 200#. The jacket I had was a small, but it actually almost fit him..they run big.
Yea it does have a sleeve for your ipod (right sleeve of the inside) and it also has the notches along the zipper to keep your earbud wires from getting all tangled up.
A medium will be reeeeeeally big on you. Super steezy, but maybe too big to be functional. I like gigantic jackets as much as the next dude, but when snow blows up your back sitting on the lift, that's just too big.
You can try out the medium, and if it's too big you can always exchange it for the small.
Yes its brown, I have same jacket...But a really awesome color of brown...One thing theses jackets are larger than you think..I where a large on all my outerwear but I could have chosen medium for a perfit fit on this one..IM still thinking about exchange to medium cause I just receiverd it last week, but returns are always a pain in the tush..IM SURE THAT IM BORDER LINE LARGE ANYWAY..
