Put on the Electric EG2 Goggle and hit the slopes without fogging up. Thanks to the soft foam padding and scratch-resistant dual polycarbonate lens the EG2 not only fights fog but blocks all UV rays as well. With a huge field of vision, beaters will stick out like sore thumbs.
Dude your goggles are so sick, no but seriously anybody looking at these goggles needs to understanding Cojiro is in love with these things. If I could describe the deep passion he has for this glorious piece of eyewear in a list of his most favorite things in the entire world it would go like this: Electric EG2 goggles, his piece of sh*t Subaru, and his Neff hat... food, water, shelter
I just got these goggles and used them right when they came, and they are by far the best goggles i've ever owned.
first off, they're sick as hell. the peripherals are amazing, and the anti fog lens is amazing. I ride mostly park, and through the woods so i take quite a few branches to the face, and the goggles. I had 5 or 6 huge scratches on the lens, took out the case and rubbed the scratches and they came right off, and my lens looks good as new.
So I am a 19 year old girl looking at these goggles. Are they going to be too overwhelming-like cover my entire face or would I be safe to get these because they look sick!
so no matter what, these goggles are the BUSINESS. sight is of no concern, no fogging, and comfort is like a velvet couch! not to mention they are HUGE! i have the moonscapes with a bronze/gold chrome lens and the only setback is that the chrome layer over the lens is like butter. i litterally scratched them with my fingernail as easy as scratching a scratcher lottery ticket. not that it was on purpose, but really??? scratches are not warrantied, and there is NO PLACE to get a replacement lens in the same color/chrome! lame.
stylie. great frame colors. superior lens clarity and quality. low fogging. perfect peripheral vision. there really isn't much more you need in a goggle... pick a color and ride happy.
I have the Giro Encore 2 helmet and I was wondering if these
I have the Giro Encore 2 helmet and I was wondering if these would be compatible. Right now, I have the Von Zipper Feenom's and they fit pretty good with my helmet, but I know the EG2's are a lot bigger so...
I've used both of those goggles before, with and without helmets. Bern helmets to be specific, I imagine Giro would work just fine as well. The EG2 does a great job of sitting flush across the top of the goggle, nests just under the helmet, no gaps.
Then you have found them. These goggles were almost to big for me, but they are the perfect helmet goggles. The shape is really cool and outside the glass gets nice and silver.
how do these things fit with a hi-fi? i wear my beanie instead
how do these things fit with a hi-fi? i wear my beanie instead of the earpieces with the helmet, and i was thinking about getting these or the .5s goggles, which fit better, or are they both good?
i'd much rather get the EG2's because they're sick, but i don't want them to not fit
the eg2's are BIG goggles. they fit a medium to a large face. they're perfect for fitting onto helmets. i suggest getting eg2's because i don't ride with a helmet, but i'm gonna get them as well.
Jack, that is Bronze, Gold Chrome. Liam, they tend to sit lower on your face for sure. Mt. Ty, managed to track down a yellow lens with for these that I use for night, I prefer that.
bought these goggles at the beginning of the season early november, and they have worked great, they never fog, there big so you have a ton of vision compared to anything else out there, the ONLY problem ive had is that the goggles dont fit that well around the nose so you always feel a lil breeze , ive talked to alot of people that bought these too and they say the same exact thing, so unless you have a bigass birdbeak nose, these might not fit the way you'd like,ALSO when wearing these gogs' you'll notice your friends checkn them selves out in the lens soo be prepared to be a community mirror!.
I've never used a better goggle. Me and my brother both ordered some, and they have the best peripheral vision out of any other goggle. The blue chrome don't mirror well, but the silver-chrome does.
Worth the ~$150.. Careful with helmet gape though.
For these goggles, which is their best lens for super flat light?
For these goggles, which is their best lens for super flat light? I am having trouble convincing a few of my friends, so some outsider help would be very beneficial.
I special ordered a yellow lens w/ just a titch of chrome on the outside from Electric. It's superb in flat light and I even use it for night. Works great because it appears very chrome looking in but for the wearer, it illuminates the dark conditions rather well.
These are probably the best goggles ive ever had, I got the Andreas Wiig Pro models. They are SO BIG and you can see everything. IF you put any other goggle on they usually limit your vision a lot looking down and side to side but these don't at all. I would recommend that you look into compatible helmets before buying them though, they fit really well over a hat but if you want a helmet make sure they will fit first. I would have given theses a 5 out of 5 but I have a few complaints. If you get The Andreas Wiig model, Moonscape, or the C.E.S models, the Electric Logo on the strap is raised so it can be annoying to fit under or over a helmet. Thankfully i finally found a helmet that does fit with them, The Salomon Patrol Ace.(I have heard the Giro Shiv, Smith Holt, and Giro Revolver also work well with these.) It comes with a hat to wear under it so i recommend wearing a hat with the goggles over it and then the helmet. While these CAN be worn with a helmet it is difficult to do, and the straps are much smaller than most goggles, they can stretch to fit over a helmet but it is much easier to have them under. If you are looking for a great goggle that won't fog up, limit your field of vision, make you look like the gangster you think you are, and fit over your favorite Neff hat, theses are the goggles for you. IF you want a goggle that will fit over your helmet that you've had for 4 seasons and don't really care how it looks, i wouldn't recommend them. These goggles have not given me any issues after i found a helmet to fit with them, i sometimes wear them with just a hat and they fit great. They come with a huge bandana in the box along with a lifetime warranty and one sticker.
Overall: Solid goggles for someone with a big face and some extra cash to spend.
Got the Andreas Wiig model, love the pattern and the colors. I really like that most models have an asymmetric design.
As everyone says, the field of vision is great. I notice it in the peripheral a lot, where it's most important, but you get a lot more visibility looking up as well. It doesn't seem like you've got some big bushy eyebrows blocking your view like you get with some other goggles.
I wear a Bern Baker 'hard hat' helmet in size L, and it's a tight fit where the top corners of the goggles meet the helmet, but they fit. I've found that the 'hard hat' versions of the Baker fit a lot lower than the regular EPS foam ones. So I would speculate that an EPS helmet in any size will fit, but I might be wary in a hard hat version in a size smaller than a large. They smooshed my nose when I first put the on, but I moved the strap from running near the top of my helmet to down near the bottom. That redistributed the pressure, and they fit much better now.
So far they've held up well for me, and I've done a few cartwheels this season. I'm a little worried about how far the lens sticks out, but it's not that big of a deal. The field of vision makes it worth it.

Hey!
Looking to buy these goggles, they look awesome. Have a couple of questions, though. Hope some of you have some answers. :-)
I've tried the Oakely Splice, but they're too small and is too narrow for me when it comes to field of vision. Are the EG2 much bigger? Comparable to the POC Lobes, maybe?
I'm gonna have two (maybe three) lenses that cover all conditions. Any suggestions? What lenses should I go with for flat light/overcast/partly cloudy/snow? Which Oakley lens is the EG2 Bronze lens comparable to, and does it work well with the conditions mentioned above? Or should I go for something else?
Guess I'm going with the Bronze Red or Gold Chrome for sunny days. They look smashing! What's your preferred lens choosing from these two? Anyone out there who could upload a pic of the Bronze Red Chrome?
Finally; I want the plain white frame. Love the clean look of it!
Hope you guys can help me out here! Would be greatly appreciated. :-)
In comparison, the EG2s are a world bigger than the Splices. Its bigger in virtually every aspect. Not sure on lenses, but the Gold Chrome that it comes with is decent for everything, although a little dark for night. No experience with their other lenses though
I'm using these with a POC helmet and the fit is nearly perfect. They look great, but the lenses are a bit darker than I am used to. Will probably need to pickup a less dark lens for snowy and very cloudy days.
which ones come with bandanas in the box? i'm pretty sure
which ones come with bandanas in the box? i'm pretty sure the pro models do, but i think i would get the gloss black/bronze/silver chrome ones and i want an electric bandana with them
You're right that the pro models do. I have the Andreas Wiig pair, and they come with a red bandana with a pattern of the electric logo and his signature logo.
steeziest goggles out there by far, been wearin em for the past month and haven't had any problems, no fog, wear and tear nothin, only thing you might wanna know is that is that due to the big bug eye lens, it doesn't keep the sun out of your eyes as good as smaller googles and thats what is kind of illustrated in the photo, my friend on the left has the smaller eg1s and myself on the right has the eg2s, this is at boreal if you wanted to know opening week of 2010 season
Yeah different tints make it easier to see in different conditions. If you check out the Electric site, it will tell you all the ones they produce, and what they are good for.
It all depends on how far away the person is and the lighting conditions/angle. They don't look like they totally block out from the other side, but in the right light conditions they be close enough to not make out where you are looking.
They only have what you see in the drop down menu. So no Moonscape, but you can contact them and see if they are getting in new stock of this. The live chat or the phone number will get you in contact fastest.
I dont work for DF, but they used to have them in stock (and on this page) and sense they arent there anymore, they are sold out for the moment. I am sure when a gearhead comes by this question and answers it, they will give a day that they are restocking it.
hey, 2 questions
will these fit with the smith holt helmet? they
hey, 2 questions will these fit with the smith holt helmet? they look really big, but maybe thats just the picture. Also, are these mirrored? is "silver chrome" electrics mirrored lens? thanks
Depends on what size helmet you're working with and your face size. It can work with the helmet. I have a Smith Hustle, which is shaped the same way, and I have just enough space for the goggles between nose and forehead. I have a fairly big face (large helmet), so anything smaller than that and you might be pushing it.
They are mirrored but they are not opaque. Your eyes will still be visible.
Hey all, looking into getting a pair of these but I don't
Hey all, looking into getting a pair of these but I don't know what kinds of helmets others are comfortably rocking with them. Any tips on what they fit? I had a friend go out and get a combo only to find them not fit together and am trying to avoid that one. Thanks!
I mentioned this in my review above, but I'll post it again here just in case:
I wear a Bern Baker 'hard hat' helmet in size L, and it's a tight fit where the top corners of the goggles meet the helmet, but they fit. The 'hard hat' versions of the Baker fit a lot lower than the regular EPS foam ones. I tried on both versions at a ski shop, and although I wear a size L in the hard hat, I'd need a XXL in the EPS version. The EPS fits smaller and sit a little bit higher because of the thicker foam.
I would speculate that an EPS helmet in any size will fit, but a hard hat version in a size smaller than a large may not work. They smooshed my nose when I first put the on, but I moved the strap from running near the top of my helmet to down near the bottom. That redistributed the pressure, and they fit much better now.
All that being said, if you're wearing a size small (or even medium) helmet, then you probably don't have a need for such big googles.
Unless, of course, you somehow manage to have a small head and a huge face.
They go ridiculous good with the R.E.D. hi-fi. But they do sit a little lower on your face than without the helmet. Not uncomfortable though, for me anyway.
I can give you a suggestion. Bern helmets are cut higher along the forehead to accomodate pretty much any goggle style and brand. I would check those out.
Of the people that have these, do any ride with a helmet and
Of the people that have these, do any ride with a helmet and if so, which one? I'm looking into a pair but want to know what's compatible. Thanks so much!
I have these and i wear the Smith holt helmet. The goggles fit just about right, and so does the helmet. So if you have the holt then no worries they will work great together
I do wear it together with the red mutiny. It works awesome. However, I do not wear the earpads and instead wear a beanie, which kinda lifts the helmet so that the google fits underneath.
