DC Spectrum Softshell Jacket - Men's

Item # DCS2632

The DC Spectrum Softshell Jacket gives you all the style of a hoody with more weather resistance than most full-on snowboard jackets have to offer. This isn’t some beefed up cotton hoody. This DC jacket packs an Exotex shell with a 10K waterproof rating. Thumbholes in the sleeves keep your wrists from getting exposed when you’re slinging laps in the terrain park.

Bottom Line:

Hoody for the hill.

Sweet softshell

By:

This is a sweet softshell. I'm using it as a mid layer under a Gortex shell and its super warm. I'm 6ft , 165 pounds and i got the Medium ( I wear a size Medium DC t-shirt ) and it fits awesome, plenty of room to move but not too baggy. Good wind protection and when it gets wet the water just beads. Super stoked, get one!

Sic jacket

By:

Unfortunately i got this jacket before i knew dogfunk had it, so i pretty much paid double, lol, however i couldnt care less, this jacket was worth every cent i paid! I live in Aus so its perfect for our warm weather, and even on a cold day, a thermal under this is heaps. Would recommend this for anyone. As a reference im 5"11 85kgs and i wear a Medium, large was a little big, but still wearable, depending on how big you like em.

this is a good soft shell, it has a removable powder skirt, gaiters, interior audio pocket, the works. the only complaint i can think of is the 1st day i wore it i POWNED my face and got blood all over it, i mean my nose basically exploded it was awesome! but it hurts to breathe now. im 97% sure this jacket would work on the moon

Is it warm?

By:
January 5, 2010

Nah its not really warm. Its more of a shell. It does have a very thin fleece lining which makes it warmer than just a shell alone but its great for boarding if you layer up under it. I used it last season in all conditions just add or drop layers depending on the weather. It is waterproof and windproof so its just a dope jacket. I love it.

i love the looks of this jacket... but i was wondering a couple things. 1. would a hoodie underneath this jacket keep you warm in negative temperatures. I'm going to Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada in a month so it'll be pretty cold there (-15,-25). 2. I'm about 6 foot, 155, would a large be good? i want a fairly loose fit but i don't wanna be totally thugged out

what about the insulated version of this jacket... the Gingham Misty/Fire? still the same deal? like i live in southern ontario which means i pretty much ride street and park and it doesn't get overly cold at all. coldest maybe -10. i just love the way these look

Yes large. You will def want to wear more than a hoodie underneath if you're kickin it to Lake Louise. That's cold as ballz. If you're really stoked on this jacket, I suggest an insulated layer like these jamzz to keep you warm in the coldest weather:

I have this jacket from a previous year. Its a good softshell, lots of room to move. The powder skirt works well.

Id say it is more for the warmer days though ;)
