DC Ceptor Snowboard Boot - Men's

Item # DCS4463

Speed laces are convenient and all, but some riders (like Lauri Heisarki and Devun Walsh) prefer the customizable tension of traditional laces. The DC Ceptor Snowboard Boot delivers the support you need to stomp man-sized kickers, while plenty of cushioning and a super light weight help you boost those wall hits head-high.

  • Aerotech Ventilation System uses molded vents in the shell and liner to keep your feet fresh
  • Alpha liners feature anatomical J-bars and directional mesh to prevent heel lift and keep your foot from slipping forward
  • Liners' Aegis treatment fights bacteria build-up and the consequential odor
  • Snow Performance footbeds with Impact G absorb shock on big stomps
  • Wraplock design lets you wrap the shell laces around the hardware for customizable zonal locking

Bottom Line:

Like landing gear for your feet.

Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

I wear an 12 in dc skate shoe but an 11 in snowboard boots. fitment really depends on what you like and how you want your boots to perform. dogfunk has a great exchange poilcy if you need to get a different size. hope this helps

World Class Boot

In my opinion the Ceptor is the best lace-up for your money, especially on sale like I found it. I've moved to this boot from a worn out no name boot with no stiffness at all that has nearly caused broken ankles when landing toe side or free riding hard. The Alpha Liner is superb, gripping your Achilles Tendon and securing your ankle with the help of the ankle harness system. This results in a fit that is more solid yet far more comfortable than even a ski boot.

The only cons of the Ceptor I would say are the loss of edge awareness and feedback with this stiff of a boot, but you have to expect that. Read that as this is a terri le boot for a novice rider. The vent system works well, but it can make for cold feet with even the best socks on a cold January day in Tahoe or CO.

Highly recommend to any free riders who like to tear up the choppy stuff and would prefer not to break their ankles doing so.

I wear the black/green in a 10.5. If you've worn DC's shoes at all, these boots feel like they're a .5 size smaller in the toe area then their shoes, which I also wear the 10.5 in their shoes and they feel like slippers.

Very stiff outer shell for some serious ankle support and an inner liner that is very comfortable to keep your feet in for a full day of pushing hard on the mountain.

Would recommend these boots to anyone and I even payed full price in a local shop for 300$ and seeing them here on sale for 175$ I still don't feel ripped off. Love these boots
