High Quality Hardware, Not Universal

Just like the reviewer m, I found that the skewers were too short for my hybrid bike. I bought a pack of 1/4" Hardened Steel Flat Washers at Lowes and used them in place of the pieces that cup the boltheads, see picture. With this substitution the skewers are the perfect length. I suppose my wheels won't be quite as secure this way, but it would still take time and effort to remove them with anything but a matched hex wrench. If you want to do the same, be careful not to clamp down onto the skewer springs.
Otherwise, the stainless steel hardware is awesome. I don't like having to fiddle with wishy-washy quick releases; these skewers look and feel much more solid.
