Comune sprouted like a poppy flower through the cracks of social normality to spew addictive urban style over the landscape of conformity. Formed on the idea that art influences life and that art is on loading docks, under strip club signs, hidden in back alleys, and inked into the skin of its team of boardriders, Comune is more than just clothing - it's a lifestyle. Inspired by a mid-60's living commune, art director Corey Smith created Drop City, a gallery housed in a structure of recycled steel shipping containers. Like Comune, Drop City is moshpit of ideals and imagery from trend-shattering artists who find inspiration in the depths of the political cesspool that steals the heart of the young and the bowls of society in which they seek refuge.
